@kimberly-ek8ii These are so quick to make and so very yummy 😋 Warming the peanut butter just for few seconds in the microwave makes it easier to mix. I used a 12x12 pan and they were a little on the thick side. Lining your pan with parchment paper is a great way to remove from the pan and to slice. I know you're going to love them.

@Rachel-sv9pq7 ай бұрын
This week I was at the health food store and saw they had some oat bars and as god is my witness I was driving home from work today thinking "I'm going to try and recreate those!" But first I logged on and saw this. I got a few ideas. Definitely going to add some puffed rice and use some coconut oil. Also my hack for no bakes is I use a silicone muffin pan so I just pop out individual pieces with no cutting. Thanks for the inspiration!
@toastyapron7 ай бұрын
That's awesome! For sure - the puffed rice helps make it less dense, a bit lighter, more airy and crunchy; while the coconut oil helps bind all the different ingredients together, which is helpful when using different types of ingredients with different textures. Great call on the silicone muffin pan! That's a great time saver 😀 Thanks so much for watching!

I made the protein oat bars, didn't have all the ingredients but used olive oil instead of coconut, normal milk, and chocolate flavoured whey. Incredibly easy to make, didn't take me long and I'm not experienced with this stuff. Most of all, after a few hours I had the best protein bars I've ever had, absolutely delicious, soft and very filling, unlike shop protein bars, and also clean of anything unnatural. I can't thank you enough for this recipe.

Often there are so many additives to them that make them taste a little off, or even worse, just unpaletable. These have become a staple in my household and they are all so ridiculously easy and quick to make, not to mention absolutely delicious! I like all the recipes as they are, but I wanted another bar that had higher protein, so I made a slight adaptation to the crunchy oat bar. I find the bars plenty sweet, so I took out the mini chocolate chips/topping and used two scoops of chocolate protein powder and maybe 1/2 tbsp of oat milk to help the bars come together. In addition to the 40g of seeds, I also added several tbsp of hemp hearts. The bars were still a huge hit and the texture was surprisingly really great! I love having these versatile recipes!

I have a hand crank food processor that separates fruits and berries from their seeds and skins. I processed down a huge bag of blue berries and brought them to a low boil on the stove. Once hot i added pectin (used for Jam) a small spoon full of citric acid (a preservative but healthy) then Oatmeal flour and Almond flour. I pressed it all into a large shallow baking pan and let cool. They are super healthy, and taste really good. I swap the fruits around for different flavors. My favorite are blueberry/black Raspberry. Super easy to make.

@@toastyapron They turned out delicious and I find the texture really addictive- like easily the best texture of any oat/protein bar I've made or bought. I would not have thought to use hemp hearts or chia seeds, but I really liked the little crunch the chia seeds added, and I might even add an extra tbsp or two of hemp hearts the next time I make this! They even looked professional, despite being so easy to put together. I did share these with family members and some were not as fond of the coconut flavour that the coconut oil specifically adds (we're big fans of coconut flakes here, so it's likely not that), but I'm guessing I couldn't sub in a different oil because you need the saturated/solid at room temp quality the coconut oil brings? Thanks again for a banger of a recipe! I'm looking forward to making the crunchy oat bars next.
@toastyapron7 ай бұрын
@LoveCrumb that's awesome to hear! I'm so glad they turned out great for you. As for subbing the coconut oil, you can also use melted butter which has a similar effect of binding the ingredients together. The taste may be more to your liking than the coconut oil!

I made the first recipe last night. They are super yummy! How ever they are very sweet. It's kind of like having cookies for breakfast. Lol. A bit more sugar than I'd like but I'd still rather give this to my kids than store bought stuff. They really like the made good oat bars but they get expensive. Plus being able to change add ins and stuff is fun. Thanks for the recipes! Just did some math, I cut it into 22 small bars and it comes out to aprox 5 grams of sugar from just the honey. So it's actually pretty close to the made good bars.

High from Greece 🇬🇷 Thank you for sharing such amazing recipes, subscribed 😊 Please can I ask what can you potentially substitute Oats with ? As someone with sugar problems I have to be careful of oats, can we subsituwith Quinoa ? Or Buckwheat? Many thanks 🙏

I just watched your other video about ice cream using Frozen bananas. I watched it probably four times all the way through. I shared it on Pinterest and I've shared this one as well. I've been home sick for 3 days with the flu. It's such a drag living alone LOL but tomorrow I'm going to order some groceries and have them deliver them to my car. I cannot wait to try these things that you've prepared. I know they'll help me feel better too.😊

These recipes look so good! I’m going to buy some seed butter and try them making them for my son who has a nut allergy :-) It’s so hard to find recipes like this without nuts / nut butter, so I’m thankful for the idea of using seed butter! Looking forward to trying them all!!

Awesome! I'd love to hear how they turned out for you!
@kandymich4861Ай бұрын
@@toastyapron the second batch seemed to be done first so I took them up and cut them up and they were not very crumbly so they are in the freezer. The first batch was in the fridge for longer and looked sticky but stayed together better so they are in the fridge in the coldest port. I don’t think I followed instructions as I used creamed honey. They didn’t mix all that well an I think I just gave up and put them in containers in the fridge. They were a bit thick or thin depending on the pan. Sorry for long answer
@toastyapronАй бұрын
@kandymich4861 Sorry to hear it didn't turn out as expected! I would agree, I think the creamed honey was likely the issue in causing it to not stick together as well. You may want to try honey next time, and also make sure to press down firmly so that all of the ingredients are tightly packed - that's super important to making sure the bars firm up and pack together densely. Hope that helps, thanks for giving these a try!

Wow thank you so much they look delicious and easy to make. I appreciate you. But I’m going to substitute avocado oil instead of coconut oil because I don’t like the taste of coconut. I hope that works.🤞🏽
@toastyapron3 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! I personally opt for coconut oil because it solidifies when chilled, which helps keep the ingredients tightly binded together in bar form. If you'd like to use coconut oil but prefer a more neutral taste, you can use Refined Coconut Oil which has a much milder, almost flavourless taste compared to Virgin Coconut Oil. But I'd love to hear how it turns out for you with avocado oil!

Suggestion: list all ingredients in one list, then people can choose from the whole list the items they have and like in their bars. Great video. I especially love the 3 ingredient idea. It would be hard to beat that one. I'm low on honey, but i have real maple syrup so i think I'll try that. And i might try it with date syrup some time. Keep u the good work!
