1997 Seadoo XP Rectifier & Stator Replacement

I just did this last night on my 96 GTX and found that to remove the flywheel case, you have to not only remove the bolt going into the engine mount but also remove the mount itself, something the video doesn't point out. Another lesson learned is that I originally had the ratchet strap pulling to the left where it worked better having the strap attached to the right (starboard) side of the trailer with the hook through the hole right behind the manifold bolts pulls it more appropriately.

I have a 1997 seadoo challenger and have no spark ,I already replaced the stator with a new one , still no spark. All fuses are been checked. How do I test the main computer by theengine compartment ?

Did you ever get any feedback with your issue? I have a 1999 Sportster and one of the engines ran great one day and the very next day wouldn't start. I was hoping to see if it was possible to check the circuitry before replacing it to see if it was actually defective.

Can you finally fine test the stator? I´m actually having some issues with my 97GSX but stator test following service manual instructions all give the correct values :/ I think is the rectifier in my case but I have not overcourrent charging issues, my problem is like you have no battery charging

I ca.t even get my 97 xp to fire up...just a long beep when I press start/stop button. Any advice would be great!

Your key isn't reading correctly. The DES post could be out, your key could be worn out, or the computer is messing up.

So my ski starts just fine and runs but only feels like it running on one cylinder. I put new plugs in and same thing. Keeps beeping one long beep and says maintain then after a bit it will say 12v. Fraigile

Could be ignition coil, but ive seen the stator cause that too
