Excellent review! I’ve compared these two back to back for multiple times as both are strong island feel, salty and ex-bourbon cask. For me, Arran 10 is shining at the complex aroma while it touches the tongue but sharper with having more alcoholic feeling. And Tobermory 12 has more green apple note and lovely barley taste while chewing in my mouth and the aftertaste. Even though I’ve compared them side to side for so many times, it’s still hard to choose the winner. Overall, just like Jen said, although Arran 10 is complex and performing well, I don’t have much memories and connection with it. Tobermory 12 is somehow straight to the point with its own character, oily, malty and salty. My vote also down for Tobermory. (But the Arran’s new bottle design is on fire!!!) Arran 10 is a great whisky. I have never had a Tobermory 12 as I prefer ledaig 10.

Got a bottle of Arran 10 a couple of weeks ago, it's got a similar tang to Deanston which I would guess it's as they're both non chill filtered. It's a very good whisky at an excellent price.

Since Tobermory does not exist in my area and Arran 10 is somewhat available in boutique shops, the winner is Arran 10 :) Thankfully found 1 store who had it.

Hello Girls! What woud'ya recommend better-there's a choice between two whiskies: 1) Tobermory 12YO and Benromach 10. Actually I prefer peated and smoky ones.

Oh both are really good and we would defo choose both! If you want peaty though, choose the Benromach 10 as the Tobermory is unpeated.

O much prefer tobermory 12. There's one flavour in arran 10 that i cant go its likè cardamom or something similar. I prefer the Arran quarter cask.
