NONSENSE. 1st, Jimmy is 34 and has NOT showed ANY signs of PHYSICAL decline. 2nd, EXTENDING Jimmy would TAKE him to 37, not 40+. I get so irritated hearing the complaints about moves the Heat made or didn’t make because you guys never factor in the fact that moves don’t always necessarily need to be made, and we can’t always make the moves we want to make. What move were we supposed to make this offseason? Why doesn’t Terry count? Why is he being devalued because he was hurt? We can only control what we can control. Trading for players under contracts with other organizations isn’t in our control alone. Doesn’t mean you sell the team for one player. Our moves are calculated and usually sound when made. And since no one can tell the future we all have to wait and see if they pan out. I think yall should relax and let Pat and Andy continue to do what they’ve been doing. Thats not wise. He is the sole reason why Miami stayed relevant in the post season since 2019. This is the ONLY year where they've fell short and that too is because of his injury. Who knows, we would have taken Boston to 7 games or have maybe even advanced to the 2nd round if he played. I get the notion of trying to get rid of the old aged superstars as they take up cap space so teams can rebuild with young potential, but Jimmy provides a lot more than performance on the court even when he isn't playing.
