The best Toby Keith song ever was written on September 12, 2001 it was called angry American. He wrote it only to sing at military shows just for them. It got so popular that it was pretty much demanded that he released the song.
@nestea83853 жыл бұрын
The song was actually "Courtesy of the Red, White, & Blue". Was dubbed The Angry American, because other countries thought we shouldn't be sticking up for ourselves. We shouldn't be mad about was done to us.
@cali44743 жыл бұрын
@@nestea8385 I actually did know that but i like when call it Angry American 🤪 Did you know He started writing that song the day after 911. He wanted to only perform that song for the troops and never wanted for it to be released. I love him

Should’ve Been a Cowboy was the most played song of the 1990s. The second song stops you in your tracks - let people know you appreciate them while they’re here! You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like That funny video but it can be a very sexy song to dance to...js...and thank you to the Queen for her comment “You’ve talked me into and out of some things” - I’m dying lol

Shoulda been a cowboy makes me cry. The first verse when it's talking about marshal Dylan and miss kitty is talking about Gunsmoke. I would watch that show with my papa for hours every day growing up. Especially before he passed. That's all we did.

Woooo I should have paid attention to the songs in this 3 piece and waited a lil later in the day to watch it. Toby and Wayman were tight, really tight. Toby is a OK native and a Sooner to the deepest pit of his soul and you know Wayman's Sooner connection. Toby is a sports guy & Wayman was a music guy. After bumping into each other at Sooner games they finally took it outside of the stadium and became the best of friends. Regina (Wayman's wife) wanted Toby to sing at the funeral and he just couldn't do it. They were truly brothers with different Mothers who saw each other as family and not celebrities. Even today when Toby goes home off tour or gets back in the country after being gone for whatever reason he calls Regina to make sure she's good and check on the kids (who are all grown) he said he knows Wayman would be doing the same if the situation were reversed. CMT did a big feature on their friendship and you could tell it was one of them special friendships many only dream of finding & having.

"just like Gene and Roy", that's Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, famous cowboys in the movies and on early TV western shows.

"I Should Have Been a Cowboy," was my song when I was a kid. Please check out "My List." When Toby talks about Marshall Dillion, he's referring to a famous western series called Gunsmoke; it was first a radio drama before becoming a tv show. Marshall Matt Dillion was the lead and Kitty was his love interest. When he mentions Gene and Roy, they are western actors Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. When says he could have had a sidekick with a funny name, he referring to Tonto and others.

The Tisdale song reminds me of my experiences in Louisiana and North Carolina. I grew up with no black people around. I moved to Louisiana when I was 20. Almost every single black person that I associated with was a wonderful, positive addition to my life. I hope the reverse was true, although I suspect that some of the fathers had no love for me AT ALL, which I don't hold against them because that was their babygirl. Media and politicians like to paint white people, conservatives especially, as racist. I have met racist people of every nationality in my time, traveling. They are a tiny minority. My experience with my brown and black brothers and sisters has been great. I am glad you enjoyed that Tisdale tribute. I enjoy watching you both, enjoy your channel immensely, and though I don't personally know either of you, know that you would be welcome in my home any time. Who knows, maybe I will see you guys on an Alaska cruise! 🤣 The point of all this rambling, is peace and love from my family to yours, thank you for bringing joy to my day. Wish you all the success in the world. Oh, and at the risk of being internet punched, Jaysus Christ, Queen is gorgeous!
