Your gold at Brixen came at the end of my own awesome weekend bouldering. I was watching the semi-final from a tree outside the venue when you topped that insane boulder three, and then watched you win the gold in those incredible circumstances (from inside the venue, not from the tree ;) ) It was just so awesome watching a fellow brit grind his way to gold after having my own weekend of personal progress. You're truly a captivating and inspirational climber, Toby. To see that you've just won your first Lead Gold too. Just insane!

It's been fascinating to watch your progression throughout the season (and from last season as well). From putting in the monster training over the off season to having some big highs but also adversity and bouncing back, its inspiring to see your mental approach before and after each round and it's clearly working. Congratulations and best of luck in Bern!

Thank you! The mental side of competitions is almost more important than the physical, being able to bounce back quickly after a disappointing performance is such a key part of competing. Carrying a poor result as mental baggage into the next competition will almost certainly make you perform worse.
