Oh my gosh, thank you for your reaction to this video. I just saw Toby Mac last night at the Los Angeles Forum. What a concert and a beautiful tribute to his late son Truett. He just passed away in October 2019.😭🙏🙌💞

The second the notification came up that you reacted to this song, I immediately clicked. I also recommended this song, and am so glad you liked it. This is one of my motivation songs. I live with depression and anxiety, and there are days I feel like just giving up and giving in. But I don't. I put this song on (or others on my list) and it just lifts me up, and puts me back on the right path, instead of the dark path. When Love Broke Through is another really great song from Toby Mac. Hope you like that one too.

Thank you for playing that song Billy. For many reasons it is my theme song.in 2014 I was diagnosed with stage 1 young-onset Parkinson's disease at the age of 45. So if you listen to the words of this song you will understand that this is my song. I have to remind myself everyday, move... Keep moving on... Soldier keep walking... Lift your head... It ain't over yet. The first concert I took my daughter to was TobyMac, and mandisa. It was an amazing concert.I used to be a DJ at a Christian radio station in Virginia Beach.I had the honor of meeting TobyMac twice and I even met his parents. They're all as down-to-earth as they. I suggest the next one by TobyMac should be love broke thru. When you see the video you'll know what I mean. From a proud Army wife, keep it up Billy. You're doing God's work 💪🙏

When I was a teenager TobyMac was part of DC Talk. They were my favorites. Had two posters of them on my bedroom wall. My mom made me put them where my dad wouldn’t see them as he walked by my bedroom.😂

One thing (among many) to know about Toby Mac. When the group DC Talk went their own ways to explore individual music tastes (Michael Tait became the new lead of Newsboys - another band I highly recommend you check out! - and Kevin Max did some solo work before briefly heading Audio Adrenaline. Also highly recommended band), Toby formed what he called Diverse City. I don't know the full details, but essentially it was a platform for young up and coming Urban Christian musicians to launch their careers. Mandissa - who had been deemed unworthy by American Idol - was recognized by Toby for her ability and is only one of many musicians who flourished under his support and encouragement. I have always likened Toby's influence on musicians of the 2000's to that of Carman back in the 1980's and 90's. Carman would scout out local up and coming talent in the cities he held his concerts and put them in the fore-front to open for him. Bands like Barlow Girl and Rebecca St. James came to recognition because another musician who already had his own platform stepped down to give them a time to stretch their wings. I'll close out by recommending one more Toby Mac song - Steal My Show - that I think just really sums up his heart for the Music industry and his (and other musicians like him) place in it.

This song was SO important for me when my husband left for deployment. It was very sudden with everything going down in our state. But I was struggling with what was happening.
