I am sorry to hear about your trials. I too lost a son that meant everything to me and my wife. He just turned 21 and was riding his bike home from work and a 65 year old drunk driver hit him and killed him. At first when I heard he was hit I prayed to God for his recovery I told everyone in faith that he was going to recover and that he and I would go to church together all this as the dr was telling my wife that he had only minutes to live see I was out of town working when all this happened all this just to say faith isn't faith until it's tested. So as you are going through your own storm just remember this is not our home and everything we go through on earth will not even compare to Gods glory for eternity. To God be the Glory

I’m so sorry for your loss of your son. I understand losing a loved one by a drunk driver. I lost my oldest brother & his wife, my best friend to a drunk driver. They were retired teachers. They were just taking a walk with their daughter-in-law & their 1st grandchild, 10 day old. These 2 survived but they were gravely injured. May our Lord hold & comfort you & your family. ❤️🙏❤️

Mr. Mac, indeed this has been a difficult season for all. I am sorry about your losses and hurdles to overcome, but my faith is fed by yours, and for that I praise the ALMIGHTY. Hang in there, I still hope to come to one of your concerts soon. ( I did try to go to one of those drive-in movie theater events, but it was sold out before I even found out. Scutrs Back In comparison to secular pop music, Christian music, as popular as some artists like Toby Mac are in the genre, doesn’t make the same kind of money. The Christian music market is much smaller and that’s why many artists will tour together to expand opportunities because artists make most of their money touring, and some not as big artists don’t have the record label resources to set up their own tour individually, let alone fill those stadium or theater seats.

So grateful I went to see Toby Mac on March 7, 2020 in Milwaukee Wisconsin! I shared the concert with my son, Ryan, the following nite at his apartment in Chicago & he put your song “21 years” on the screen as I praised Truetts life! I had a wonderful evening with Ryan 😍. What I didn’t know is I would lose my son March 8, 2020 from a fentanyl overdose. I am beyond broken for the hardships that led to his relapse 2 weeks earlier! These hardships brought him down & im left trying to put together the pieces of his life and the many reasons this should of never happened 😢. Please pray for me, my husband, my other son & daughter. I grew up on Toby... he was one of the frontliners for kids like myself that didn't want piano hymnal music because music was very much part of my life!!!!!! And to pull me away from the worldly music, of which i had a lot, God used Toby & others at that time to give me something my age group was interested in while i drove my car or worked out... stuff like that. I still have his CD's and was able as a teenager to keep my eyes on Jesus while i rocked out and rapped out to some upbeat tunes!! I love Boost 101.9fm as well.... don't you dare misjudge my brothers & sisters in Christ bringing this type music... don't be so religious about it... we also listen to worship music that is more like Holy of Holy style but not everything needs to be calm and say Jesus every other sentence for Father God to approve of it.... God made us with our gifts and God is not weird like that as if on some hyper ego trip to be worshipped... i believe He loves to see us doing good things and you're not misbehaving just because you have rock on beat with positive lyrics... ok... so we can chill here, i don't believe they are trying to use God for success, rather i believe they are staying on the side of light and using the light God gave them~

My Beautiful Prayer Warrior, Woman of God Mother was fighting for her life when this song graced my ears. It's so easy to praise God in the times that are good, but I love how Toby is referencing God's grace at this time and acknowledged the loss of his son within this conversation. It encourages me to say "blessed be the name of the Lord... on this road marked with suffering though there is pain in the offering..." God is good even when our circumstances aren't. God is good even when we hurt, lose or or fall apart... God is there with us. Toby truly demonstrates scars surely come with living, but scars can tell beautiful stories. Jesus bore the ultimate scars suffering as one who was and is truly blameless.

I love the perspective God gives us when we have time to take a retrospective view of our life. God's "previent grace" becomes a personal gift He gives us. We don't usually have awareness of it until seen in retrospect. Sometimes you need to be in the desert to see it. But we have to be open to GOD'S will in our life to get it. The concept of Sabbath is real and very important. Love to hear you soaking it up mister. We lost our 18 yr old son 20 yrs ago to suicide. It was the hardest thing ever. Love you and praying for you and your fambly. (Band Included in these times) in His Name.
