This is 15th Antiphon "Today He Who Hung the Earth Upon the Waters" sung by a trio (one melody and 2 ison) from St. Mary's choir.
St. Mary's Orthodox Cathedral in Minneapolis.
4/9/15, Friday Matins (Holy Thursday) and Passion Gospels.
Text: Today He who hung upon the earth upon the waters is hung upon the tree.The King of the angels is decked with a crown of thorns. He who wraps the heavens with clouds is wrapped in the purple of mockery. He who freed Adan in the Jordan is slapped on the face. The Bridegroom of the Church is affixed to the cross withe nails. The Son of the Virgin is pierced by a spear. We worship Thy Passion, O Christ. We worship Thy Passion, O Christ. Show us also Thy Glorious Resurrection!

Yeah. Plagal second mode looks REALLY weird in Western music notation. It's nice to have KZbin around for Orthodox music.

This was about 10 pm on Holy Thursday, after the service was over and during cross veneration. The choir members were leaving to go downstairs for the veneration and some were making sure that the correct music was on the stands for the next day, Holy Friday. The next service starts @8 am. Thanks for understanding!
