It's giga jank, but kinda works Runick engine (with 2 horses) + foolish, amageddon knight, grepher + Zeta Reticulan + Beast king Barbaros, Wicked avatar, and other 3 tribute cards

@@orga7777 it's a deck that plays deliberately slow so u kinda have to meet it on those terms. tistina seeks to otk (badly) whereas ashened seeks to play a slower, more midrange/borderline control-oriented game i think it's gameplan is fine, but it would be a lot more potent if you could do it every turn. but the deck starts running out of steam after like turn 4 because it lacks grind, to the point where some people are playing the imperm spell just to give the deck more recycling

One cool thing about Branded Runick is that it's one of the few decks where Branded Loss is playable (it's a different card from Branded Lost). Normally the cost of having to shuffle away one of your own fusion monsters from the field is too much, but Runick decks are very good at getting a fusion monster onto the field and don't mind shuffling away their Hugin after they already used its effect.

Holup, this is interesting, I think I can make this… Edit: Hell no. I’m already struggling to play Branded normally. This deck is super fun, but my goodness, you _really_ need to know how the decks interact with one another. And then you need to figure out how to manage your branded resources to play with a more control sort of playstyle since you can’t just otk the next turn if you use the Runick cards. My personal gripes with the deck if you ignore the floodgates is how inconsistent the runick spells are. I personally like playing runick with engines that generate card advantage (like spellbook), and Branded does do it, but in a way that makes it hard to make use of the Runick cards (beyond going into Verte). My opinion isn’t the best bc I suck, but my consensus is that you need to be a genius to navigate this deck effectively and not time out at the same time.

@JoshuaSchmidtYGO I cooked a runick melodious with beyond/exceed the pendulum (it's not good), you can use hugin to make the melodious link 2 to use for fusions (but not to use its effect cause melodious locked, unless you have a hugin from the turn before)

i mean you can definitely summon it easy in branded if thats what you mean, you can complete the regular combo, set banishment with albion, and then use it to fuse Albion and bystial lubellion to make dragonlord on the opponent's turn
