Yes. It is a very pretty quilt block. I know why so many of these old block patterns have only a married woman's formal name. It was required when I was young. Many of my teachers were recorded by their husband's name on our class pictures. Like Mrs. Clifford Rigsby, or Mrs. Oddie Forman, or Mrs. Ira Skaggs. It seems so silly today. It took a long time for our goverment to allow married women to use their real names. Thank you for this beautiful free pattern, instructions, and video.

The 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution gave women the right to vote in 1920, the year before my mother was born. I was born in 1951. In 1974, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act was passed, which eliminated the requirement for a woman to find a male co-signer if she wanted a credit card or to buy a house. My son was born in 1980. In 1988, the Woman's Business Opportunity act got rid of the requirement of a male co-signer for a business loan for female entrepreneurs. In 2024, over one hundred years after being given the vote, women still have a long way to go.

Look at that! I still want to be like Beth. Look at how she can look in an old book, see a black and white photo, and just know that it is a beautiful quilt block! Another thing I can’t do. When looking at those small black and white quilt patterns..I don’t have the “eye”.. the vision ☹. I need it to be in color and bigger is better. Thanks Beth❤(KH)
