Did you guys check out Voice of armwrestling's side pressure video yet?
@dude1575 жыл бұрын
Slightly different styles for that vector. Todd keeps his elbow further out, more like the start of the match. Then he goes straight sideways trying to keep his forearm up for maximum side pressure. Ryan tucks his elbow in tight, and goes for a press with more downwards motion pivoting off his elbow, this more accurately recreates the press he transitions to finish with after he's won the hand and won the center. Certainly both playing to your strengths.

WD40.... one of the greatest inventions ever.... Nice job guys!! My elbow was killing me just watching your guys! P.S. I love Todds, Johns etc way helping with the pain. Beer, beer and more beer! I don't feel like such an alchy now lol.

That's not the intended use for WD40 though ("water displacing" solvent or rust dissolver). Bad in the long run to use it as lubricant. Since it's not.

Hi Ryan. I’m a rockclimber (also from Brissie actually) and some of us are starting to use a type of device in training I think you’d really like, and I haven’t seen any armwrestler using them yet. Basically it’s a portable load cell so you can figure out exactly how much you’re pulling. It also allows you to measure rate of force development (how quickly you can hit). There are a couple of options available and they both talk to your phone so you can log your results. The cheap option is the Tindeq (max around 200kg) and the expensive option is the Exsurgo G-Strength. I think this would be something of a revolution in your sport because for the first time it wouldn’t matter what device or machine someone was using, they could compare metrics accurately. Cheers!

Not trying to armchair warrior here, but isn't this just cruising straight for tendonosis? How do you prevent tendonitis just turning straight into a month or 2 rehab when doing this many max days in a row? Seems to me you both are suffering tendonitis atm, and not letting it heal is going to turn it worse? Respect, just asking for any knowledge you have here.

Isn't that just forcing you to grip and not necesarilly supinate? Shouldn't the towel "wrap" the outside/pinky side of your hand forcing you to supinate to not open up? Maybe it doesn't matter, just a thought I had.
@TheFineWine115 жыл бұрын
Ryan do you have the table bolted down to the floor or some other method? I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my table from moving while out off the machine without bolting to the floor, any ideas?

So do you guys think training through this much pain has made you stronger in the long run? I feel like you probably just set your training back for at least several weeks because no way that pain is gonna clear up in few days, or even a week. But maybe you guys recover a lot better than I would.

Technically,i dont think we can call this supinated.i mean yes hand is in full supination but its not challenging supination whatsoever.probably more chopping then supination.its just pure side without real hand fundamental tbh(can grip be considered as fundamental part?not,according to devon)
@ryanbluebowen5 жыл бұрын
The supination is simply referring to the grip, not the work being done. We will do a pronated grip version of this too :)
