Todd White on Prosperity & Kenneth Copeland

Despite Todd's warnings against greed, and the idolatry of wealth (most prosperity preachers do this), he still teaches that it is always God's will for you to prosper financially, and for you to be physically healed (healing is more of his emphasis). His defense against critics of Kenneth Copeland, is that Copeland is a generous man (even though he lives in a mansion, has his own airport, and multiples planes).
The problem with prosperity doctrine isn't primarily wealth. There's nothing wrong or sinful about being wealthy. It is sinful to make false promises of wealth or healing for those who sow financially into your ministry. God promises that in the next life the consequences of sin (sickness and poverty) will be completely removed when we get our glorified bodies. But Todd and other prosperity preachers claim that these promises are for this life ("Your Best Life Now"). This severely damages the faith of those who remain sick, or who are living in poverty because they are told that it is THEIR lack of faith, or hidden sin that is blocking their "breakthrough" in healing or finances.
The main issue with Kenneth Copeland is that he (and Todd White) deify man (making us "little gods" with the exact same spiritually DNA of Jesus) and demote Christ (making Christ merely a man with the Holy Spirit, like us). The true Christ is both fully & truly God and fully and truly man. No one has or will ever do greater miracles than Christ, or live a sinless life like Christ.

Yeah you can quote countless verses that speak against having any desire to gather unto yourself riches of this world, is not of God. Any desire at all for material wealth in any way shape or form is not of God. If you are buying more then you need with your finances and not giving all to the glory of God then you’re definitely off base. Sure Copeland gives millions. He also has 17 private jets and a couple mansions. It’s common sense really. You either can read it plainly in the NT or you can start stringing together scriptures that say nothing directly related to wealth increases in the NT and call them revalations and ask for a HEAVY tithe at all your services. I have a friend who thought Todd White was great, so I put in hours and hours of research to actually listen to what he says rather than what people say about him. Just a few things for starters:. Todd believes that Jesus wasn't fully God in the incarnation. He believes that he (Todd) never sins. Like a lot of these word of faith teachers, he believes that Jesus paid for our sins in hell and was resurrected in hell. If you believe any of these things, please get into a solid Bible study.

Todd White is a human like the rest of us, he is not perfect or impervious to error. It doesn’t make him a heretic or false teacher, it just means he has some off understanding, like all of us. I think in this context, the “I don’t care” attitude is just a reaction to being challenged on something you want but maybe God doesn’t will it for you? The last line is what got me: "No one has or will ever do greater miracles than Christ, or live a sinless life like Christ." I do believe the part that we will never live a sinless life like Christ. As for the rest of it, what about John 14:12 (words of Jesus): “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father."

John 14:12: What are the works Jesus is talking about? What does "greater" mean? Bill Johnson and Todd White interpret this to mean that we will do greater miracles* in quality* than Jesus. But Jesus' greatest miracle was raising Himself from the dead after 3 days (the whole trinity was involved in raising Jesus, including Jesus Himself). Do you expect believers to top this miracle in quality? Bill Johnson and Todd White avoid this by claiming that Jesus didn't raise Himself from the dead, since he emptied himself of His divinity in the incarnation (which is false teaching; Jesus did empty himself by add humanity to His divine nature, not subtracting or not ever using His divine nature). The works that Jesus talks about in Scripture are His owns words, miracles, etc. which all testify to the truth of who He is as the Christ (Messiah). The point of the works is so that you might believe in Christ, and find life in His name. The works Jesus is talking about is our proclamation of the gospel (the good news about the person and work of Jesus), and our works are "greater" in the sense of scope* (Jesus' disciples took the gospel to the nations, whereas Jesus only ministered in a small region).

Pope Francis is busily going around the world forming the ONE WORLD RELIGION for the ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT. Interpol had an arrest warrant for him because back in Argentina when he was a Jesuit priest he molested several children and whistleblowers have come forward saying they witnessed him sacrificing children on a specially made wooden altar that would collect their blood. The video is titled ITCCS TRIBUNALS & THE 9TH CIRCLE SATANIC CULT, BILL STILL SHILL? It came out early February I think and don't worry about the silly pictures at the beginning of it, the host does that with all her videos. I plan to see it again myself because there is so much info in it. In another video, by another channel, I found out the Vatican was built over an ancient temple of Appolyon, excuse the misspelling. The Catholic church put a big church over a semi buried Pyramid in Peru. Also, Todd has two mentors Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn. Kenneth spoke to the Pope via skype once on his show. He and his wife have flown over to see him in Italy. Todd has a video out too having the people in it pray for a couple of Catholic priests on the stage with him. I don't really know who at the Send kissed the priest's feet but it did happen. Many say this Pope is the last one and he said a couple of years ago at a meeting that Jesus was a failure because He died on a cross. He also doesn't believe the Adam and Eve story in the Bible rather believing instead Evolution, also he does not believe in hell. I would look into KZbin videos exposing the 9th Circler and the Jesuit oaf. The Indian prophet SADHUR SUNDAR SELVARAJ has a new video out which I have not seen yet saying the Pope is False Prophet. God is not against wealth. In fact financial wealth is from God BUT our heart and Joy must not be in wealth it must be in our intimacy with God. God's blessings and wealth is just a byproduct of intimacy with Him and we are not to value His blessings more than we value Him. But again, I say prosperity in ever area of our lives is from God but getting something from God shouldn't be our motivation when we approach Him we should come to God for who He is not what he cane give us. This is sad. The Lord wants our souls to prosper and there will be times in our lives when we will have little or no money, the Lord teaches us to appreciate because we lose our focus on Him. There is not one that is not materialistic. It's up to us who we want to serve. God is good and I can testify that the Lord has provided meals when my cupboard was empty on many occasions. I didn't have to ask anyone. The Lord knows what we need and His timing is always perfect. Sweet dear Lord of ours!

Problem with the prosperity gospel is not in the prosperity - this is just a carrot on the stick. The real problem is heretical teaching which says that: a) Jesus died spiritually on the cross; b) that he went to hell and fought there with Satan; c) and that in his resurrection Jesus was "born again", which means that prior to that, Jesus had sin/sinful/satanic nature.

The problem is the properity gospel started tempering with core Christian believes as Jesus as Centre point, even changing some scripture meant for the believer to grow in fruit 30, 60 and 100 fold. To financial fruit. Prosperity is bound to earth, but fruit bearing is always directly connected to the heavenly as quality of the Christian life. We give not caring if we will receive or not. Just give, it is God that will decide what you will receive and when. Focus on Jesus do not let the pure Savior compete for your attention with what you may or may not receive. Allow him to be the God of providence if you do not have, share with the poor, the widow, the needy, the hungry so that you can lead them to Christ. The prosperity gospel does become dangerous if it keeps all the money in your pocket and in the church and enriching the pastor. Even more dangerous if souls cannot grow into Christ to become fine gold in heart and get stuck with the desire for gold in the pocket. Choose Jesus and not prosperity. Bow under the Lord so that the riches of the Kingdom can grow in you to bring souls to Him. What you will receive from the Lord is what you will receive, let Him decide do not turn into a calculator, but let Him Jesus be the calculater. Now if you are one of those people allowed to have riches, do not forget to use it as a hook for bringing in the harvest. Do not forget about the poor and sow only into coffer alone that will go to who knows where, sow into people's lives mostly and draw them to Christ. Last word, for those who see value in the prosperity gospel, decern strongly the fruit in yourself of what nature it is, if it's killing you, get out of there, you only have one soul. Strive for gold in the heart and not gold in the pocket. If yo get both, help, help, sow, sow into the lives of the needy, poor, hungry, rejected, children of God that needs help, orphans, evangelism etc. Luke 4v18 The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. Not to make them rich, but to give them eternal life and provide for them, the way the Lord sees fit. Mat 6v19 Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; If the Lord gathers for you, it is a different matter, then you know you have been called to share share, share, share.
