LOVE my r108, bought through one of your promo's. Decent rip off of the skywave and my current constant companion. I wish the am was a little more up to snuff, but ive got the ge srIII and i have doubts anything else will ever top that guy for am. Always love the detail and enthusiasm in your videos. Hi, same here. I listen to shortwave a lot. The only pity is that in Sweden the AM band is basically silent. Sweden stopped broadcasting on its AM and shortwave frequencies in 2010 take care and have a nice day.

@davidacosta147 Hej yes i know that AM radio is still going strong in the US and i have a few friends in the States, so I can say that I'm a little jealous of you who live there. Absolutely i miss the AM band a lot It's such a shame that Sweden stopped its AM broadcasts and you in the USA also have more fm stations than we have in Sweden take care and have a lovely week.

@@NTPTMBut a lot of MW stations have degenerated into either right, or left wing propaganda, for the most part. Seems that most of the remainder are religious stations. A fewer amount are actually full service stations, like KMOX. Still others still have music to a considerable degree. 1220 here is basically a classic rock station.

@RJDA.Dakota Okay, thanks for the info, but I love classic rock. I hope you have nice weather where you live. In northern Sweden, where I live, it has been nice weather for a long time. Yes, the sun shines day and night. The sun goes down a little but then up again, so we have the midnight sun. So at 02:00 in the morning, we have full sun outside. So for shortwave lighting, it's a slightly worse time for me right now with daylight all the time take care and have a lovely day.

I have the previous R-108 which I love, thanks for steering me towards it. I'd thought it wasn't too good on the air band, but after 2 years I figured out mine is 7khz off on air band! Weird as all the other bands are spot on. Once I figured that out it really does a great job.

My R-108 (the 2nd generation with the amber backlight but with the old micro USB charging port) seems to be fine on VHF Air Band. The reason that the other bands are spot on is because the LW, MW, SW and FM bands are provided by the Skyworks Si4734 DSP chip. The VHF Air Band reception is added on to the R-108 and it runs separately from the Si4734. The same goes for the XHDATA/Sihuadon D-808 radios too - their Air Band circuits are separate from their Si 4735 DSP chips.

Hej Todderbert, thanks for the bandscan. I love mine, but I have the older Radiowow R-108. I will definitely buy the upgraded R-108 with the USB-C jack and the nice amber color backlight display take care and have a nice evening.

Everything is good about this radio except the battery. The only way ýou can listen for a lengthy period is having it connected to a power bank. Dry cell batteries are the best for radios and not lithium ones.
