It is easy to rationalize yourself being calm and making calm wise decisions, when you are calm and not enraged at your spouse for whatever reason. We see on his shows both husbands and wives doing what they themselves would otherwise say is pure lunacy or senseless violence if they were looking at it from an outside view while calm cheerful and optimistic. We cannot put ourselves into that situation unless we are experiencing it ourselves. Feeling betrayed clouds judgement and rational thought.

When it showed pics from the courtroom I yelled how the hell do you take your kid's Mama away you p.o.s I guess some people are so consumed by their own desires that others aren't even an after thought for them. Very hard to imagine your own child not being a before or after thought. Now she has no one so that he could have HIS way. He's a pathetic excuse.

May I make a humble request that you increase the amount of discussion in these videos concerning the psychology / mental issues behind these kinds of crimes, which seemed to be a feature of your older videos? The legal analysis and guilty or not guilty discussion is interesting but is covered by attorneys on many other channels. What I especially love about your channel is your unique ability to delve into the psychological aspect of criminality. I've always been interested in the "why" of these crimes. Thank you so much for the time you take to put so many quality videos out! Huge fan!

What upset me the most on top of killing someone, the jealous and selfish killer does not care at all about the children, it's all about himself and his selfishness. I went to Quincy University the same time as Tim and Becky. The college campus is small and everyone knows everyone there. This just devastated the people of Quincy. Becky, and Tim for that matter, were both very well known in the community-and well liked. Becky was lovely and a great friend, great Mom…Tim was the epitome of BMOC-played sports, good looking, popular. I personally thought he was pompous, definitely had a big ego. Couldn’t believe when I found out a murder happened in Quincy. Very much Americas hometown. Known for its bars and churches on every block, predominantly Catholic community with small town values and gender roles to match for the most part. Many of these kids were raised by practicing Catholics and were raised in homes with Moms who did the housework and took care of kids, while the fathers did “men things”. I think being raised that way had an effect on Tim and his values and why he felt so wronged by Becky when they were going through their separation and divorce. He is exactly where he belongs. Becky didn’t deserve this and neither does her boys. I just hope for the boys to be raised in light and love, surrounded by all things good. The community is still healing… Quincy will never forget Becky. ❤ Thank you Dr. Grande for this video.

Dr. Grande PLEASE do an analysis on missing person “Mamma JF” and her streamer husband who is a prime suspect in the case. This case just went public days ago and the husband has streamed since then declaring his innocence.

Correction: the divorce was in 2021, not 2001. This case from crime to punishment is by far the fastest I have ever heard. It seems to me that he couldn't handle the real world anymore and wants the order of prison (despite his empty claims of innocence). You put him and that Ohio guy (Chad Doerman) together and they make a complete set on family annihilation. They both punished their wives (who each had 3 sons) in different ways.

Thanks for mentioning this. I too noticed the mistake. Surprised so few people mentioned this in the comments. I guess people are so enamored by his popularity they are afraid to correct him. I guess they just take him on his word even if it totally distorts the timeline of the case. He normally doesn't make such boneheaded mistakes, so I guess he deserves a pass this time

I didn’t hear it at all. He said the game show was filmed in 2019 and aired in 2020 and I heard something like 6 months after the show, Tim filed for divorce…so didn’t notice 2001 and even if he said it, I’d probably have autocorrected in my head..

So stupid for spouses to murder their spouse. They obviously are going to be the first to be questioned and profiled by the cops if there was ANY evidence of tension in the marriage leading up to the murder.

It's very interesting that a couple could be remembered for such a saying on TV! It's a bad idea for couples to complain or mock their relationship to outside strangers, it's like a wedge waiting to happen. It is hard to imagine what any couple does behind closed doors, there is so much variation on couple's activities.

It's been proven that after a woman ends a relationship, their life is in danger. It's actually the most dangerous time in a woman's life. "Men" like Tim can't tolerate their fragile ego to be destroyed. And if it is, the ex wife/girlfriend has to pay with their life. Happens way too often.
@TS-rd7oy

It's so bizarre, their egos really are so fragile. They can't understand they are simply human like the rest of us living lives with ups and downs. So many males like this. Every day I hear a story where the woman wanted to leave, he unalives her and spends his life in prison. Fragile egos and not too bright at all.

It was mentioned he filed for divorce but I've seen this happen too where the man wanted to end the marriage then later he can't stand seeing the woman move on with another man even thinking they want her back when they see it happen.

@@TS-rd7oyl knew about these situations since high school...Leaving my first two boyfriends was traumatic and stressful because of the male ego, which l had not reckoned with at the age of 17 or 18. I had not even married anyone and l got called 'a dirty little b****', and saw the beginnings of aggression and violence. Later l had a 'fling' with somebody who has stalked me all my life. And still holds it against me that l 'got away' and married someone else. To all intents and purposes, l'm a 'normal' married woman, mother of three but l had those nasty experiences as a teen ager and young woman😢 l did nothing but be sweet to those boys/men, but they weren't for me & l had to move on. I remember well the guilt and the trauma they made me feel. And we weren't even married ....😱

Thanks for getting right to it, Dr. Grande! I watched the entire hourlong episode of "48 Hours" called "The Game Show and the Murder", hoping to learn about an interesting game-show/murder tie-in, but the episode glossed right over it. I was left not knowing what actually happened on Family Feud. Not sure why "48 Hours" didn't put more effort into the episode! So I came here and watched this video, and it filled in some blanks.
