I can't see see someone cutting themselves 30 times and cutting his own artery by accident, nope, injured testicle happen in a fight, then drowned in a river by... chance ?! it's just weird to me that people would want to think this was self inflicted. Probably he was going off the rails that put him in a bad situation, but the self inflicted theory is just weird.

I. Still sticking with Pennsylvania M.E. Office. Money been missing from Baltimore before, and even the judge that Mr. Luna appeared in front of that day said, he drove a long way to commit suicide. His wife was a physician, they were fine with money. The sex b.s. online was another person, not this Luna. However, I’m not sure we will ever know. I feel bad for his family. His wife never talked publicly, and I understand that.

I’m leaning towards a homicide as the reason for his demise. The scattered money in the car, bad parking, engine still running, a drop of someone else’s blood, partial palm print?, two tanks of gas, two sodas, a toll ticket when he had “easy pass”, bruised testicles, 36 slashes with a pen knife and drowning in shallow water. It sounds like someone was driving in tandem with him for some reason, at a private spot they stopped and a struggle broke out. The money was scattered during a tussle and he may have tried to defend himself with the penknife and it was wrestled away from him and he was slashed at, out of the car he may have been kicked in the groin area and then held down with his face in the water?

@@jasonmichael3676 That doesn't take anything away from his character had he been a good person. You know how many middle class families are running up credit cards to keep up with the Jones' while one or both spouses are creeping around? He was a young, black, aspiring attorney. From the time he was wearing suits in high school, you can tell that his personal image was important to him. I'm mixed, and I'm from a small white southern town. The difference in treatment I got when I wore full suits was astounding. I simply wore them to have an easier day. So its no wonder he's running up credit cards when he's around rich, powerful people. It's a crushingly insecure feeling to be black and poor around rich men with power. They don't want that image around them, and you don't want it around you, either. So you pretend. You run up cards and hope your hard work will let you pay it off eventually. He just got unlucky and clashed with his boss, who should have been his ticket to his dreams. Sad, really.

There is significant oversight when working as an attorney at a federal level. Luna likely had numerous bosses and his work scrutinized by many superiors. The fact that he moved quickly from several jobs, his superiors "did not like" his plea agreement(s) suggest there were numerous incidents where they were not happy with work performance. Blowing cases at that level costs the government millions of dollars. Also worth noting was the debt he sustained despite having a wife who was an active physician. He also took a year off at law school, which is unusual, even if a parent had cancer. The night of his demise, when he headed out for his final ride, transpired when he was due in court the next day very early. That is totally irrational. He was likely psychotic because he had to write up a legal writ and he couldnt finish in a timely manner. People often think big time federal positions are easy, but they take brains, commitment and focused scholarship. Its clear that Luna was missing on or more of these components.

I'm really enjoying this. For some reason, I believe he was abducted at the office. If he was going to meet someone, he would have taken his phone. If he had to drive to all of those locations, I believe he would have taken his glasses to drive at night. Did they check his blood for alcohol or drugs? I know women would kick a man in his testicles but a man would too if he wanted him to have pain, Sounds to me that he was abducted and tortured. It could have been the people he was trying to work a deal for, the boss, or even his wife. Was there a video at his job to see if he left the building alone? Was there a camera in any of the intersections he drove by or on the atm? Did they test his clothing for hair or any other item that could identify someone else? Were there fingerprints on the penknife or in the car, or even outside the car? Who was the last person to email, text, or call him? I have so many questions about this case. How many of the bottles of water were drunk and were there fingerprints. Geez, wish I would have had to investigate as an occupation lol. I like this!

This. I think he picked up a prostitute and she or he killed him, potentially out of self defense. The genital bruising could be him repeatedly trying to force himself on someone and they said no at some point and he had ‘already paid.’ Or small cuts is his kink, like being burned with candle wax, and someone accidentally cut too deep and then fled. Who knows. But doing that type of damage to yourself, while driving? Seems harder to believe to me personally.

I have to listen to this again. My first thought would be to look at his boss. But the two tanks of gas suggests a long trip. But $200 wouldn't go far. Maybe he met a he/she and the negotiations fell through in the woods. News is reporting his throat was also slit. Very sad ending for this young professional. Sometimes we just need time to get a grip on our lives and to mature. He unfortunately didn't get this chance.🙁

Strange anyone would think this suicide when there was someone else's blood in the car, and he was in his suit. Also, hard to believe anyone would stab themselves, esp 36 X. You'd slash, you wouldn't stab, nor inflict cranial damage, and place yourself under the engine.. I wonder about the FBI who claimed it was - perhaps there was a big weekend ahead. Given the weapon and the probability he used it before it was taken off him my thoughts turn to a pimp. Regarding the locus, it wouldn't have to be the sight of the attack. He might have driven from his assailant and died elsewhere

Very interesting.
