She was a shitty mother and I have had all kinds of experience with shitty parents from my dad to my mother's mom and stepfather even my own twins mother!! Why are their not harsher penalties for being a non supportive or absentee parent? My mother was molested by her step-dad her mom didn't care. My dad walked out on us when I was 6 very little if anything in child support. My twins mom walked out on them and was ordered to pay me only 30 dollars a month for 2 kids when I am single and she is married. Not to mention I pay 400 a month for 1 child to a woman who is also married and I barely make 40-50 thousand a year. Plus I'm not allowed to see the kid I pay 400 a month on. She had me blocked from all doctors appointment and told my mom she was having an abortion or putting the baby up for adoption!! So I know plenty about shitty parents and kids should either be able great take their shitty parent out or have them locked away for life! If you can't take care of your own kid at least financially you are a monster and should be treated as such period!!

Divorced parents had guilty trap and kids know and take advantage of that. @CarmenCarino89 that's mainly because they think they won't have to deal with the mother that much and/or it'll be on their terms instead of the mother. A lot of I see is born out of frustration of the hardwire and pettiness of the mother, others simply because they want to come in and not share. Dr. Grande, I can easily relate to this sad story as when my parents were going through a divorce around this time in 2004. My mother was diagnosed with BPD and had this sort of psychological control over my younger sister and tried to do so with me to turn against my step-mother who actually & truthfully adored me as her own son. My own mother despised my step-mom and even tried to use me into committing her own dirty wetwork to get rid of my stepmother and even lie in court about my father as a way to take me away from my father who is a big teddy bear. TL:DR: My psychotic mother tried to use my disability to murder my step-mom in order to gain custody of me, despite my personal decision to live with my dad because I'm honestly afraid of my mother's sexual & psychological abuse that she committed on me in her care.

I've said it before....as a child who was severely abused.....I don't think most people understand how worn down and terrified children become after suffering months or years of abuse. I can tell you that Terry Jr at 15, and most other abused children, myself included, would not have gone to the authorities under any circumstances. Judges are notorious for not believing children and letting the abusive parent return home to become even more abusive than before. It's a vicious cycle that very seldom ever gets better. As a victim, and now a victim advocate, I see it repeatedly. It may be hard for some to understand because today very young children are expected to act like adults, and they are charged and tried as adults in court which is beyond ridiculous. At 15 years old I would have long known better than to open my mouth to anyone for help. Either I, or my younger sister, would have paid a terrible price. As usual.....my question is.....where was Super Father who took his children from their mother just to let his vile and violent second wife carry out her abuse right under his nose? Give me a break.

I agree. Those children were in a no-win situation. We teach our children to mind their parents but expect them to know when to break that rule. Terry Jr and his little sister were very confused and didn't know which way to turn. Their dad sure wasn't any help.

I'm glad that she made enough errors to be found out and punished. My heart aches for the children who had obviously been living with this awful person for far too long because it seems to ne that she had possibly treated the children, and maybe even their father, sadistically for a very long time. There's a lot more to this story than we will know unless the children write a book. It concerns me that the father didn't report the events but I know of very strong men who live in fear of what their intimate partner will do to them if they break ranks! It's beyond my comprehension but I know it to be the case. The tiniest little woman can hold a man "hostage" and treat him abominably. Much of the problem is unresponsive Law Enforcement when it comes to female on male domestic abuse. A man reports the behaviour, is ignored and sent home, only to receive more punishment for reporting the abuse. Just my opinion, not making a diagnosis! 🤔🤔

There’s not a whole lot of information but I’m very interested in the theories surrounding the incident. She screamed that a man on the plane was “not real” no one knows who she was referring to and she hasn’t been interviewed since. There’s a video that exists that states it’s all over earbuds, others state it’s over a guy in a green hoodie, but some speculate she was next to a shape-shifter or “reptilian person”. There was a similar incident on RyanAir with a man who suddenly becomes genuinely scared of something, I don’t think he has been heard from since either.

Kimberley is definitely as cold as a slab of marble. She's utterly despicable! Thanks Dr. Grande. Those kids are going to need a lot of counselling..

I’d still have given the son more leniency; he was subjected to significant abuse and control. Being forced to kill your own mother is punishment enough. He definitely needed intervention, but I think those eight years would have been better spent in treatment.

Terry jr sounds like a physically and or emotionally/mentally weak boy to be 15. I would have taken the bat away from Kimberly and gone ballistic on her when I was 15, if she tried to harm my mother, let alone make me harm her.

I would love to hear your opinion of Michael Burham, who murdered his girlfriend, ran and kidnapped 2 elderly people and forced them to drive him states away.. he was eventually caught but escaped via the old "tie the bedsheets together" method.. he's still on the run! He apparently broke into someones home, killing their dog and stealing their clothing! Please cover this, eventually.. I'm so curious to hear your opinion and it's quite a case! I'm quite shocked we haven't heard more about this!!

Well done for explaining how abusive adults seem 'invincible' to the children they are 'bringing up'. The way I put it, it's as if my biological mother was Godzilla. Litterally so when I was a toddler or a baby, because of the difference of size. Even after I'd reached my adult height, she still weighed 20-25 kilos more than me, was physically much stronger, and extremely violent.

Exactly! I’m 40 and I still think of my father as indomitable, even though he’s an elderly man. To be fair, I haven’t seen him in 15 yrs so my memory isn’t of him as an old man. But still, he was like a god. An evil, wrathful god, but still a god.

Looks like Terry Jr. may have had some kind of Freudian attraction to his stepmother. He was a 15 year old boy with raging hormones and lack of empathy. I wouldn't call it 'manipulation', but more so something like 'enticement'. He deserved more years than he got. He wasn't five years old. I've grown up in a horribly abusive home myself, yet even in my darkest of moments I did not do something that went against my moral compass just to make my life easier. My younger brother, on the other hand, made a lot of 'compromises', I don't blame him.. he did what he thought he had to do in order to survive. At the same time though, I am estranged from him because I know I can't trust him just as much as I can't trust my own parents. There's always a choice to make.. ultimately it's your conscience, your guilt, your demons.. life is difficult enough already.
