Peter Capaldi, one of the few actors that can make me laugh like no other with his performances. I absolutely love all his characters, whether it's Doctor Who, Malcolm Tucker or other great ones he portrays. I'm always quite in awe of his talent, even as a sweary Director of Communications. Not an easy role, I think. This show is still terribly underrated. Literally every single character/actor did an amazing job. And the writing is just superb! Really happy that he got an award Best Performance in a Comedy show. He absolutely deserved it. Anyhow, what I love even more about watching this show is people like you laughing alongside it and having a good time haha. Great reaction! Keep it up 🙌🏼

'He will fook you harder than Ron Jeramy, but with less warmth'. One og my fave Malcolm lines. I see lots of reactors getting requests for the full show. TBH if you are not from the UK most of it will make no sense. It's basically a satire on how UK Government is ran. It follows a tiny group of the government called DoSac, Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship. While it's obvious you get some of the Malcolm Tucker abuse the rest of the show might be hard to follow unless you follow international politics and even then that probably will not help as it focuses on that one tiny insignificant office. Malcolm is the government's and Prime Minister's 'fixer'. Here in the UK we call them a 'Spin Doctor', I'm sure you have them and they're called something along those lines.

i love how shortly after the announcement of peter capaldi as the 13th doctor someone edited some thick of it clips as part of a doctor who promo ("it's the fcsking future! we can download rice!"). but the entire dressing-down malcolm gave that one dude ("air crash investigation team" + "wear it to your mother's birthday") is aspirational. capaldi said that he would have people coming up to him, requesting that he tell them to f off-- and as much as he wanted to, he would always politely decline.
@grahambuckerfield46402 жыл бұрын
If you have heard of HBO’s series ‘Veep’ this is from the creators of that show. Tucker is the British Prime Minister’s media advisor/government department’ enforcer, partly based on PM Blair’s advisor Alistair Campbell. The show ran on the BBC from 2005 to 2012 with short series and specials.

Just a quick comment on the UK and the "C" word. It's still an offensive word over here and very rare do we have it on TV shows. But it's all in context. You are more likely to be called a cnut by a frend than a stranger. That might seem a bit strange to people outside of Britain, but that's how it is. It still has the power to offend here when used offensively. But like I said it's more likely to be used by friends as a joke or in an affectionate way. For example a friend might accidentally spill his beer in a pub and you might say "Hahaha you clumsey cnut" while laughing at him..
@ToddReacts Жыл бұрын
Love the context! Thanks. It’s amazing to me how completely banned that word is here in the States. In all contexts.

I'm not sure if anyone outside the UK would get this show as it's all about national politics (it is absolutely brilliant - and all the swearing/cussing is almost secondary to the main story line - but, as swearing goes, the Scots are very good at it - almost poetic in many ways ;-)

It is the most brutal satire I've ever seen, and as an American who has watched a lot of British comedy and can Google the things I don't know (like Irene Handl), it is absolutely worth it. Besides, it's pretty easy to get the gist of things like Glenn screaming, "Well, _fuck_ Tinky-Winky!"
