There is a reason KOL call him Goattoshi Shida. The dude is absolutely insane with his liquid like animation cuts.

To be honest, the more i know about sakuga and the more shows i watch, the less i am impressed by Shida's works. However, as a OP fan, i respect him from the bottom of my heart. He carried OP through its hardest days and he was the one who brought me into the fantastic world of animation and art in general. His style is so unique that a 8 year-old me who knew nothing about animation felt something special about it. It's safe to say that without him, i would have never been who i am today cuz the beauty of animation has changed me alot

Exactly, he may not be our favourite anymore, but he deserves a lot of respect for what he did in the past

Yes SHida was my Fav OP Animator before Wano. xD But now there so many i find better then him. xD Never thought in Dressrosa Times 10 Years ago, we would get that insane Quality of Animation in One Piece. hahaha

The more you learn about animation the more you must appreciate him 💀 bro u definitely went backwards. Dude animates backgrounds, rotations, effects, character choreography with unhealthy amount of detail and complex SB. And all of that on 1S LIL BRO 🙏🤠 Tell me who else does that
@imnotdream46022 күн бұрын
@Arctiss7 idk man☠️ I think Shida's animation is quite stiff sometimes and repetitive, despite being very technically incredible. It's all about preference tho, but something about Yutapon and Norio school animation that just appeal me more
@Arctiss7Күн бұрын
@@imnotdream4602 it's your preference, do not downplay an animator because he's not to your taste. Shida still negs 99% of current staff we're seeing

I first notices his style with the sanji scene on thriller bark, he has been my favorite animator since I watched that episode. The flow that he dose in his scenes is unforgettable

Ive seen many sakuha animators, upt to this day he's one of the top for me, his style overal is recognizable start to finish it never gets old. The critique that he doesn't experiment kinda says a lot about people who only watch but not analyze, most animators "experiments" are mostly traits they developed or just want to do ir one time. They don't necessarily have to "adapt" to the industry but just the syle and consistency of a shiw. I feel like people are like sheeps because they follow the same old, "yutaka Nakamura is the best because this and that" the same argument but never mention a trait that makes them recognizable even in their animations. They mention because of the same primcples of art and animation when... Duh, they have it, but never mention how they do it. When i see Shida i just ask myself "How", like... This style ain't no joke, replicating Yutaka Nakamura seems easier than Shida.

I think that just One Piece have too many amazing animators now, and Shida look just another one in the middle of that. Also he do less experimental things, that the new animators do, and do basically the same thing again and again. Also, the new animators, because of that, usually have the permission to work in almost every main scene for the episodes, and Shida now work usually in transition scenes for the better scenes of the new animators

They're not using shida right they're using this legend for random scenes

If ima be honest, his animation fits a lot more in dragon ball than one piece.

Shida been losing respect lately, sad considering all he's done. Hopefully he focuses on more quality work from now on considering One Piece might be taking usual breaks and dragon ball never return to the super schedule.

Lowkey Don't Like His Style At All, It's Perfect For Dragon Ball Z But It's Too Goofy For One Piece, It's Sooo All Over The Place In Terms Of Fluidity, But To Each His Own

did you just say too GOOFY for ONE PIECE???

works for dbz but too goofy for one piece is extremely contradictory… like what 😂
@emmanueladekunle30882 күн бұрын
I get what you are saying it's jot too goofy for none piece..it's kore like too detailed and not as fluid for a series like one piece where freedom seems to be a big part of.. it's too restrictive
@jklum78952 күн бұрын
I'd say if it's too goofy then it's perfect for one piece lol, but i do agree his work fits db more
