Hi CJ, thank for sharing this information. You are not saying anything bad about Togo this have happened many times, i saw when African American's were trying to cross to Togo from Ghana and Wada Maya was at the boader and filmed. Those immigration officers at Togo boarder need trainning, Africa need Uniting together. Sorry brother, keep on going dont loss hope. You have good tesm behind you🫶🏽🫶🏽👏🏽

That ECOWAS passport is a useless passport no wonder Burkina Faso,Mali & Niger opted out of Ecowas because they saw no benefit for their people. Nuff respect

Sorry about that CJ, Cote d'Ivoire they are siblings to Ghana, we share similar culture, food, and language. Togo has been like this for years. My experience at the Ghana-Togo boarder made me cried like a child. Unnecessary demands for extra money and bribes are a regular thing on the Togolese side and they don't care if you are a students or a young person.

So you don't shear similar things with Togo .. ghanaian you people are very pretentious,you do the worse but accusing others

With the help of France and Europe, Togo has been unfortunately taken hostage by one family. The Evil and Brutal regime of gnassingbe is the most Barbaric and Backward regime on the entire Africa. The gnassingbe family, the French & Americans have been enslaving Togolese for more than a half a century. The fact is that Togolese need help from all Africans to be free on their own land!l

Making high revenue at borders from other Africans is sign that Togo leaders have a colonial mind and corruption is a cancer top to bottom. Even Dangote, Africa richest, complained about visa requirements on the continent.

CJ, u can go to Ivory Coast, they dont fool around like that at their border with Ghana, even though they are francophone country. Ivory coast is part of Ghana, with a lot of Ghanaians there. We've been family with them for a long time. Theres also more gor u to cover in ghana. With your journalistic way of covering stories, i think u should go to Cape Coast slave castle to learn a lot for yourself, and see in person, everything u think u have heard. Theres a big festival also going on in Cape Coast right now and u can catch it. Please contact Ekow Simpson youtuber and a school teacher in Cape Coast, u canboth learn so much from each other. Hes just like u, curious minds. He will take u to the slave castle there. U can go to kumasi too. Im sorry u missed out on Togo.

Keep traveling bro. Don’t go home
@sos9020Ай бұрын
Im so angry that Togo govt is still allowing their people to continue this adilt foolishness and wickedness to go on at their border. U could have easily made it to Benin, to learn more about the slave market there and a lot of deep African history there in Benin, which is where the people of Haiti came from. Then if your budget allows, u could go to Nigeria, then Cameroun and u can make your way home. What a waste of time and money, u could have used that time to Cape Coast.

Go and watch one of Wode Maya's videos when he wanted to go to Benin and see how much intimidatiion he faced at that border.
@adwoachavis9941Ай бұрын
Even for West Africans it is a shame because these imigration officer do not recognize that Ecowas passport and still will charge you money to cross. West Africa borders are the most corrupt in Africa my brother l feel your pain
@adwoachavis9941Ай бұрын
Sorry my brother. I am Ghanaian but my mother's mother is from Togo. My advice is find somebody who knows that route to take you. What you can do is when you get to the Togo border do not show them your passport just give money and cross. There are agents at the borders who can help you cross into Togo but l will not advice that because they are crooks Along the west African borders Ghana borders are the most easy friendly ones.to cross. The other countries are very intimidating. Do not lose hope l wish l was in Ghana l would have taken you to Togo You can go to Ivory Coast. That will be easy for you because you can taken a government transport from Accra which will take you to Ivory Coast directly and you do not have to deal with border issues. You will enjoy Ivory Coast which is very beautiful think about that.
