２５年ぶりに新船が建造された最新鋭のジェットフォイル「セブンアイランド結」は、東海汽船の東京と伊豆諸島の航路に就航中、４隻とも基本的には同じジェットフォイルだが、コックピットはには、最新型の液晶操作盤を採用されている。残念ながらコックピットの映像は、非公開です。現在はまだ１隻しかないが、早く複数隻の新規建造が期待したい。 今回の特別ドックツアーで、以前就航していた「セブンアイランド夢」や「セブンアイランド虹」の部品も大事にまだ使われていて、貴重な解説付きのツアーとなった。

You people take so good of care of these boats they are almost 40 years old and still look new. I worked on that boat at Boeing best job I ever had and still miss it. The most advanced boat of it's kind in the world still 50 years later.

Today, the aircraft is manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries of Kobe, Japan, which took over the licensing rights from Boeing of the U.S. This is the first newly built Tokai Kisen "Seven Island Yui" in 25 years, and she will continue to be active on the Izu Islands route from Tokyo. It is expected to remain active in Japan for at least another 30 years. This is because this jetfoil is the highest speed passenger ship.

@@toppychannel37 Kawasaki needs to get back to making these ships again they don't last forever, yet you sure do make of them last longer then most ships. glad to see them still flying the seas. Some ship ha!

11:32と18:38 アリソン501kfガスタービンです。最高出力25000馬力、コンプレッサー幅1962mmです。GE製LM2500-IECがとても大きさ有り、waterjetギアボックスでエンジン出力が流れます。そのまま2つガスタービン使用と、燃料タンクの大容量が30000Lです

佐渡汽船は、日本で最初にジェットフォイルを導入したので、すべて自前で整備も行われるので技術やノウハウは日本の運航会社ではいちばんだと思います。
