AdaptedAlpha I have a couple of 28s but they're not especially noteworthy. I'm watching out for a Tamron 28 2.5 (love old Tamrons) or one of these nifty Tokina units. :)

I have found a few 28mm but unfortunately not in very good condition. I did come across a Tokina 17mm f3.5 a couple of weeks back at an antique store, got all excited until I saw the price $275!. More than I wanted to spend. Thanks for another informative video.

I have a Sears 28mm f/2.8 (Pentax K mount) lens, my problem with this lens is that it is atrocious at f/2.8 and f/4 you can only get real sharpness at f/8. I wish I had a nice and sharp 24 or 28mm

Cool channel. Have you found any vintage ultra wide lens that work well? Ive already spent a lot on the Sony 35/1.8 prime and 18-105 zoom and don't want spend more on the Rokinon/Samyang 12/14mm. Looking for a walk around lens for landscape and hiking.

I found a 24mm W Rokkor X Minolta f 2.8 that equals 36mm on the a6000. They are pricey right now but it is my go to lens now. I paid about $100 plus shipping, worth every penny.

Thanks so much for the videos. I always learn something. A+++. I have a Sony a6000, the Tokina 28mm f2.8 and K&F Concept MD-NEX adaptor, but I can't get the adapter to fit on the lens. I have a Minolta lens that fits perfectly. Any insight as to why I'm not getting the Tokina to fit on the adapter? Thanks again!

Have you figured it out yet? If not try unlocking the lens first before you put the adapter, then lock it when the adapter is in place.

I've got it for a Konica mount and it is a nice lens but I have to admit I like the Nikon series E 28mm a little better...I use Fuji but we have about the same focal setup..

+Harish Chouhan You're right, no stabilization so you need to have a steady hand when taking pictures at slow shutter speeds. Handheld video can get shaky too. Tripods:)

Hi there! I recently purchased a Tokina AT-X PRO 28-70mm f/2.8 for Sony/MINOLTA α Amount from Japan and i bought an adapter for it. It converts an A-mount to an E-mount? It is not working at all with my Sony a6000. Im so bummed. Any suggestions

No rearly, I am very used to cameras without that function and I think it is more fun this way. I hade 3 years in scool for photogrphers and worked as a newsfotographer (video) and Avid editor for both drama, documentary and news for 42 years and foto-assist (red) is al that I need. Not any television stations use filmcameras with automatism.
