Harajuku Takeshita Street is one of the busiest street filled by young adults. So what about now during 2nd State of Emergency in 2021? Starting from Yamanote train ride from Shinjuku station to Harajuku Station, walking though Takeshita Street, Omotesando Shopping street, and my favorite hidden spot Tokyu Plaza, then Meiji Jingu Shrine. Lets explore the town with me. (POV with narration) Hope this video can be a help to stay home😊

I remember eating at that McDonald's in Takeshita Street, it was drizzling that day and there were just so many people so we decided to hangout for a while at McDonald's and try the Japan-exclusive menu while waiting for the crowd to dissipate. Omotesando was sparkling when we passed by, it was almost December and the Christmas light decorations were so beautiful. I miss Tokyo!

My dream is to visit Japan one day when the world goes back to some normality. I plan on visiting the new super mario world at universal, also trying lots of different food, collecting gachapon and playing in the arcades. Will also want to bring back souvenirs and candies back with me. One day I hope! Keep safe and well Rion. And thank you for your videos. 💖🙏

Wow... seeing Harajuku this empty feels a heartbreaking for me. I usually travel to Japan from Korea during my vacation periods from work about twice a year and haven't been able to since 2020 January. If it weren't for the pandemic, I would be in Japan right now during my current vacation period as usual visiting friends. I feel really sad for all the people and businesses affected by the lack of tourism. When I video call friends living in Osaka, they show me how the areas we usually go are so empty and many business closed. :(

what a beautiful message Rion! I love how Japan has some amazing respites with peace and tranquility. Harajuku can feel so hectic (when crowded) but only a few steps away, you can breath out and enjoy some quiet. I remember just watching a man sweep the gravel street of leaves in that shrine. I will answer your question I can't wait to go to a baseball game again when the pandemic is over or at least when I can.
