I doubt you'll read this but I had a 'Dont Throw Stones' the other day and it was possibly the best Islay whisky cocktail I've tried: - Whisky - Islay Whisky - Lemon - Ginger - Honey - Egg White I wasn't sure about the egg but shaken and poured over ice with a lemon it was delicious. The sweetness brought everything together and even by my SO loved the taste, who dislikes whisky (especially those that are peaty and smoky).

I think the main difference is maybe that the sprite doesnt have as much sugar as the coke has, therefore the drink lacks a bit of sweetness to mask the alcohol like the long island ice tea does!! But looks delicious! way to go steve :D

Fun tip I discovered! If you ever buy the pre-mixed long island stuff from the liquor store it will usually have a very strong tequila after taste. This can be mitigated by using vanilla flavored cola instead of regular cola. Could also use a bit of vanilla extract but I haven't experimented with it yet.

The last two cocktails are similar with my home-brew cocktail named "Quick Herring" Recipe: 1) Take all strong alcohol that left after party 2) Mix them all in equal parts as possible 3) Serve in a shot glass After a few cocktails you will get drunk really quick. And on the morning you will get so strong hangover that you will feel itself like beached herring. Good luck =)

When you said you weren't impressed with the Adios Muther F*cker, I completely understand. I've had very little experience drinking cocktails so far, but I will say that I don't fault anyone for not liking a particular drink. It really depends on your taste preferences and what kind of liquor you like. Unfortunately, cocktail bars are not popular where I live, but there is a liquor store close by, which is why I'm glad for videos like these. I can afford to buy a few bottles of booze, and try out different recipes on myself and some friends at home, experiment with the measurements, and really get a taste for what I like to drink. I encourage others to watch these videos and do the same. Cheers Steve!

@@StevetheBartender_ The main reason I got an app was to figure out what drinks I could make from ingredients I had at the house, so would say something like that is a must. Basically have a list of all the basic and more complex things you would use to make a drink, allow people to select the ones they have in the house and the list out all possible drinks that can be made. I find videos so much more useful than written text when it comes to figuring out how to do things, so short clips of you making the drinks would be great. That is a big ask as it would be a lot of work so if its too much maybe some basic techniques involved in making drinks (I don't know any so can't give you examples). Maybe a shopping list of things you are missing so you can quickly and easily add things to it when looking how to make a drink. Another thing I think might be cool is along the lines of the newsletter that you email to people, but instead push (or simply show on startup) suggestions of drinks you can make based on what you have in "Your Kitchen" (or whatever you're calling it) or maybe something like "If you get X you'll be able to make Y drink", so that people get more adventures with what they make. I know that would help me for sure as I don't know many cocktails and don't even know what to buy so some sort of guidance would be nice. The ability to track what you've made and being able to give it a score would be good also. Made few drinks but after drinking them I can't remember if I actually made them or not, or how they tasted so keeping track of it whilst still sober would help hahahah On a more technical side, if you guys aren't already doing it I strongly suggest going down a PWA route instead of native as it will most likely be quicker, cheaper and allow you to gauge interest better rather than spending loads of time and money on a native app. Once you get some traction with few basic features you can then invest in something bigger and better. I only speak from experience, we've had customers on both spectrums and those that spent loads of money on getting everything absolutely perfect fully loaded with features aren't doing so well and the ones that just got a basic app out there are now adding more content and features because they were able to quickly find out if their product works with the market. (Sorry for the War & Peace :P Hope this helps)
@StevetheBartender_5 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the input - your features and ideas are pretty well aligned with our plans.. I’m lucky to have partnered with a developer in a joint venture and he’s all over the development and roadmap. Basic functionality will be available in the first release including your own liquor cabinet (as we see this as the most crucial - there’s a recent poll on my YT Community page).. then we’ll be adding shopping list and other features later.. definitely a good idea to start with the basics to test the market. The videos will be incorporated too seeing as they’re how it all kinda got started. Sounds like you are an app developer or at least IT/web related?

I reckon u should add 15mls in each spirits/liqueurs so it doesn’t disguise too much alcohol, it’s literally over 100mls of alcohol in it so it is gonna be more intense. Try do 15mls/half ounce instead Stevo!!!
