This isn't an issue with the buffer tube per se, but with the buffers. Most of the aftermarket buffer tubes have the same length, however the buffers are usually shorter than the stock plastic one. I noticed this after trying out the pts mec buffer. Just switch between the stock buffer and an aftermarket one, you'll notice how much of the bolt carriers nozzle is visible through the ejection port. With a properly spaced out buffer inside the tube you shouldn't feel a hard wall while pulling back the bolt, but a slight spring bounce from the buffer hitting the end of the buffer tube - that's where you'll know the screw isn't hitting the upper.

Great pt, yes it’s due to buffer length. But people sometimes mess with buffer tube length as well when trying to tune or swapping tubes- I think I mentioned in here but personally I don’t recommend it. It’s kind of an old school trick if you’re not getting reliable bolt lock and don’t have another buffer to turn out the tube a turn. The other issue is the stock buffer is spring loaded so leads to inconsistent bolt travel

Hi do I need to worry about overtravel if I’m using the gun stock and using r134a gas?
@pspmaster5102 жыл бұрын
I found that if you don't clean or lubricate the bolt catch, it would get stuck sometimes.

Hi great vids thanks, i have the Angrygun heavy weight buffer but was wondering if it could crack or damage the lower receiver? have you had any trouble? using it. many thanks please keep up the great work 👍

As long as you properly tune bolt travel as mentioned in this vid, you’ll be fine 🤙

Did you manage to find what size washers you need? I have access to some rubber faucet washera but not sure what size to get.
@Wolfman_NV Жыл бұрын
Sorry I have that info somewhere but I just took a quarter to lowes and found a nylon washer that was the same size or slightly less
@Lejen.isalreadytaken Жыл бұрын
I have discovered that sized 24mm is cutting it very close, so 24mm or under is your best bet

I know this is an old video but is there any reason by there is a reasonable gap between my bolt and buffer yet there is still damage caused on the lower receiver?
@Wolfman_NV3 ай бұрын
If you’re running stock buffer there is play as it is spring loaded, so make sure you’re fully compressing the buffer when checking for clearance. Otherwise damage may have happened earlier on

Hey brother care to go over that anti rotation pin, also what are your views on the t8 stuff?
@Wolfman_NV2 жыл бұрын
Sorry anti rotation pin? Did you mean the buffer retaining pin I was struggling with? It’s just that this Dytac noveske n4 kit has a different design than stock, and the way they designed it it sits too low so your buffer pops out when splitting the receivers so I’m running it like a real steel buffer retainer by keeping it in place with the buffer tube instead of the pin they provide, which allows it to sit higher and actually catch my buffer. Just makes removal a bit of a pain. But again you won’t have that issue with a stock receiver. Re: t8, they’re usually good to go, only thing I don’t like is some of their parts are propietary and don’t Inter mix with stock/other aftermarket parts.. for example their new steel trigger box will only work with their own steel bolt. Personally I like to keep things to oem spec so I can source spares easier and swap parts with my other builds if necessary. But most of their other parts are fine 👍. I mainly use guns modify, g&p or stock nozzles depending what’s in stock, maple leaf silicone 60 or modify tan buckings, and g&p or angry gun heavy recoil or real steel buffers, mostly everything else is stock internally

I have a stock MWS and my bolt gets stuck in the buffer tube very often and I have to remove the buffer tube to get the bolt back out. I’ve tried all your checks and it passes them all. Anyone know how I can fix this? Running at 1.1J
@Wolfman_NV3 ай бұрын
Might be a clearance issue with the buffer? Check for smooth operation of the bolt/buffer in the tube to see if movement is impeded. Certain g&p buffers for example are meant for a slightly wider inner diameter buffer tube- otherwise I’m not sure that is an odd issue

Thx. I've ordered same buffer :) Can this pin inside the buffer crack?

Whats the size of the washers ? will this size fit ? Size(Inner Dia x Outer Dia x Thick)

Sorry I’ve been meaning to write that down. Just take a US quarter to Lowe’s and get one about the same size, slightly smaller if need be

hey I see that you have G&p golden trigger in your gun. Which aftermarket trigger would you recommend? I was looking to get GM EVO steel trigger box at some point in my MWS life. Stock trigger is kind of meh feeling I would at least like to reduce the trigger travel.
@Wolfman_NV Жыл бұрын
I can’t whole heartedly recommend any yet, but the gm evo is a very popular one. Some guys are lucky and it drops in some guys takes a bit of tuning some guys it’s an absolute nightmare, so hard to say. Same with g&p, they tend to take a ton of tuning and are really troublesome, mine was pretuned by a company who no longer offers that service. Am going to be testing a Dytac box soon, will try to post up if that works well

G&P Buffer Lock Set For Marui TM MWS GBB I’m planning to get this can u please tell me if this exactly you using ?

Those will work fine if you need one, I’ve used it before on a build. This kit comes with its own buffer lock though

did you also change the buffer spring ? or is it still the original? cause i also ordered the same steel buffer , om worried about the spring now
@Wolfman_NV Жыл бұрын
I haven’t messed with buffer springs much, haven’t really seen the need. I think this has to do more with the Dytac n4 buffer retainer design, stock is wider and should be fine

You can in a pinch, but coins tend to deform after time, and will often cost you more than just buying the plastic spacers with those coins ;)

I make it look harder than it is cus of the way I have the buffer retainer set on this aftermarket kit. Not sure how youde test it without the buffer and spring in there tho?
