@@vicentecarretero4588 Honestly conflicted cuz he is Def the best character in the game but to me it’s not just that he’s the best it’s also that no one likes the way he plays. I wouldn’t cry if my region banned him (we don’t have Steves anyways) but it’s kind of just a bad history for ultimate to have had to ban someone. I think it might be healthy for the player base but if we just ban cuz we don’t like a character then people like sonic should be at least suspect. If I was the person to decide I probably would just leave it be.

You guys are so salty when it comes to Kazuya. If he’s so broken then why aren’t ALL the top players maining Kazuya? Riddles loses a fair amount to a number of top players. I understand Kazuya isn’t not fun to play against but that’s because his play style is so different from the rest of the cast. You can’t fight this guy like most of the characters.

@@Reed411 I mean, Ultimate was fine for the most part save for some nonsense elements in the last game that should have been left behind like “Shoto” character archetype and few other elements. Now thanks to the DLC packs they added some of the most egregiously designed characters for the sake of Sakurai and the devs trying to be too cute that force you to have to fight against them a particular way to be successful. Kazuya is a shining example of this.

But camp spacing is more annoying than any DLC and has become a seriously annoying problem both online and in tournaments that almost completely invalidates some characters. It works too! and that's the issue I am pointing towards. It just doesn't make for a good "fighting game" experience. But hey, that's just one guys opinion.

@@Reed411 I mean, I get it but due to how they fucked up with characters like the FCG’s their mere existence forces players to have to avoid them as to not get cheesed out by easy dmg racking combos and kill setups. It’s like a self fulfilling prophecy and I actually find it bizarre that people take issue with having to play against these characters this way. It’s like trying to convince an opponent to please play along, fight normally and get fucked up for it. If I picked up Kazuya today and my opponent decided to play it safe and avoid me like the plague then…good! As they should, why would I expect them to not camp considering Kazuya’s ridiculous up close game? It sucks but, blame the game devs at the end of the day, cause you can never hold the community accountable to not exploit the shit out of poorly designed/OP characters.

Also he has a seven frame jump that means if you even played kazuya at all you know how annoying it can be against high air acceleration characters. and since he is heavy he gets but in disadvantage a lot.

I've been playing Kazuya for about a week, I practice against level 9 Ness. He's as annoying as he usually is, but he doesn't feel exceptionally hard for Kazuya. Thunder and Fire piss me off the same way they do no matter who I play, but Kaz can just reject Ness's recovery with the down smash spike

Kazuya needs to be a light or not deal 40% minimum off an interaction. Kazuya needs 1-3 interactions to kill any character and is heavy with pretty good recovery. Because we’re not getting more patches he should be banned. He’s just over tuned.

Plenty of other characters have 40% strings, ROB and Aegis being the most notorious examples. That alone is not a strong argument for a ban. What most Kazuya haters fail to realize is that the Steve ban happened because he possesed gamebreaking tech that pushed his already degenerate playstyle beyond the game's rules. That's not the case at all with Kazuya.

@@BakingSoda4U it’s not just the easy 40%. It’s that it’s 40% MINIMUM or kill at low percents with a clean hit. He’s heavy. He’s relatively fast. He has relatively good aerial mobility. He has disjointed hit boxes as a boxer. He has a ton of straight up I frames. Steve is mechanically broken. Kazuya is overtuned. The only counterplay to Kazuya is don’t get hit. That’s not counter play.
