I really miss West part of Japan, I want to go back there and your video is very inspiring, provides clear information and descriptions of the tourist attractions you visited, I am very motivated and want to travel to the places you visited. Even though my leg condition is not normal now, I think I can do it, thanks for your hard work お疲れ様でした😊

Thanks! Your video prompted us to visit Hagi. It was beautiful and charming. One of the highlights of our trip. I hope it does not become too popular with tourists, as that might ruin its charm.❤

@@tokyokenchan ... I am confused about the JR pass. I have looked online for the 21day pass and they seem to have stayed under $700.00 for a standard pass. Is that true?

That hotel where you stayed at looks really beautiful - right on the beach, so peaceful, and the food looks so tasty ! I went to Hagi on my first trip to Japan, and from there on to Tsuwano and Matsue in Shimane prefecture. I stayed in the 3 places for 2 nights each, and really enjoyed being the only western tourist in those places. It was a stark contrast to the other places I visited on my first trip to Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Miyajima).
@tokyokenchan6 ай бұрын
That's great you visited Hagi already. You traveled such a nice route from Hagi, Tsuwano to other San'in region. Yes, I also saw only one Western couple in Hagi during my stay. It's a great contrast from Miyajima. :)

Kengo-San, Another awesome video! I feel like there are a lot of underappreciated towns and cities in the south of Honshu and Kyushu. On my next trip I plan to focus more on these before heading back up to the north and maybe Hokkaido in the trip after that.

Hello again my friend, thank you for this tour of Hagi. Its been 20 years since I was there but it brought back great memories! I did a day trip with my brother who was working and living in Tokuyama in Yamaguchi prefecture, driving across the mountains and valleys to Hagi. A great way to see some fantastic scenery. Cant wait to see the next episode around Hiroshima. Cheers mate

been here in November 2022.....this is really a beautiful small town....got here because of Japanese samurai history....there are a lot of authentic old samurai residences here...the samurai castle town is worth exploring.....but I must also say this town is very lonely...not much people around even during the rush hours...there's also no night life here...but this is still very worth visiting especially if you're looking for a very interesting small town to explore in the Japanese countryside

Thank you for watching this video. That's great to know you visited Hagi. I talked with a monk in Hagi and he was sharing the same concern as you did. There is a too strict rule to protect the town and they cannot open stores. It's such a nice streets so it would be so much fun if there are some quitet dining and cafe, you can enjoy the air at night. But again, I appreciate Hagi kept that scenery.
