You misspoke, you said dot 4 or dot 5 brake fluid but I know you meant dot 5.1. Dot 5 fluid is silicon base fluid and not compatible with regular brake fluid.

Yes, DOT 4, or 5.1 (not 5!). It's on the cap...

Thanks for another Awesome informative and easily understood video. I've been using the "Clake One Light" clutch lever for over a year on my 2020 300 EXC TPI and it Crazy Good! 3 of my mates have had a ride and now HATE me because they felt they had no choice but to get one as they couldn't go back haha 2 friend with late model WR-F Yamaha's installed it with the Hydraulic conversion and its night and day difference. Thanks Again.

440 hrs. Trying to recall... you've done one bottom end? Thanks for commenting and showing removal of the anti-foaming disc. Always wondered about it in the past when diagnosing my old XC.

Do you know of an aftermarket or brembo part for replacing the sight glass windows and seals on the master cylinders?

Sorry I haven't looked in to that so don't have any suggestions.

Did you ever replace that push rod pin? If so where did you get it? I can’t find one anywhere
@TokyoOffroad Жыл бұрын
The push rod KTM part number is 54802046000 and it comes with a new seal.

Hi there. I was doing this procedure and after all was done I did the inversed bleeding (correctly I suppose). Is it normal that air keeps coming out to the reservoir? Any tips/ issues that can lead to this? Thanks

Love all your videos. Don't know where I would be without your help. Question: Doesn't that lurch at the end when you kick it into gear indicate clutch drag? I'm currently having the same issue with my '22 250 XC-F. Trying to figure out where to start the diagnosis. Only 28 hrs on it.
@TokyoOffroad Жыл бұрын
When the engine is cold there will always be a noticeable amount of clutch drag, even when everything is perfect. Once the engine is up to operating temperature the drag should be reduced significantly

Hi! I recently bought a KTM EXC 300 tpi 2021 with 14 hours on it, so the bike havent been much used. I changed the oil when i got it. I have an issue with my clutch. I have to pull the lever all the way in or it wont «calm down» There is an aftermarket clutchlever on, but when i swap to the original its ctually wore. i have adjusted the lever to the maximum, but dosent matter. Any tips or help?

My recommendation is to try changing the clutch fluid and bleeding it.

Haw can I know when do replace my clutch plates?
@TokyoOffroadАй бұрын
The best way is to inspect the clutch pack. Measure the thickness of each fiber plate (they need to be >=1.9mm) and look for damage to the metal plates (excessive discoloration, distortion, or wear spots). You may find this video of interest: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJapf36JbrioZ9E
