Thank you for planning to do 2 reviews, and I do appreciate your views and insights. You and your staff have vast knowledge and insight that is so helpful gaging which food or experience is worth one’s time. Also, i appreciate that you continue to pay for the experience and go to the experience like a regular guest. I am interest how easy it will be to see things when the ship is at full capacity. The haunted mansion bar is just amazing. Thanks again and have a wonderful holiday

I think it is absolutely marvellous that Imagineering chose The Haunted Mansion, 20,000 Leagues, and The Aristocats as themes for the ship's major bars. They could've easily gone with more popular IPs at the moment, but chose to take more "risky" choices, allowing for greater creative challenges.

Thanks, Tom and Eric, for this in-depth discussion of the ship. Historically, I’ve had a much greater affinity for the parks rather than a cruise, but after seeing your footage and hearing your comments, I’m super excited about the Treasure. I don’t have much of a frame of reference, but, I have to say the attention to detail, especially in the Haunted Mansion Parlor really filled me with joy. Phenomenal.

I definitely see a lot of things learned from the Starcruiser on the Treasure, even the immersiveness of the lounges. The theming is amazing. Excited to see what the full cruise is like. It's just too bad they couldn't adjust the adult area a bit and add some hot tubs or a bigger pool for adults.

That was interesting to watch. The bars sound amazing. The 20k bar seems so cool. 20k was my favorite book as a child so i love seing it done anywere. Also RIP carnival freedom smoke stack.

Tom and Eric liking a Wish class ship must be the revelation of the year ;-). Glad to hear it, can't wait for my cruise on it in a few months after only having done a 3 Night Wish cruise so far.

thanks for the review! we are huge DCL fans (Platinum) and were so incredibly disappointed with the Wish. Now, i'm excited to try out the Treasure. Fantasy and then Wonder are still first/second in our hearts but hearing about the Treasure gives us hope that we will enjoy at least one of the new class of DCL ships.

Re: The Bayou and Skipper lounges being in the middle of the ship: they are the promenade lounges. They have one on most ships I’ve been on- including Magic. I know they aren’t for everyone (I see you, Eric. I get it) but for many of us who enjoy a beverage either live music and people watching. A venue a bit more spacious at times vs the other themed locations. I loved all the lounges on Wish for individual reasons (some more than others) and I cannot wait for Treasure and these themes. I especially love that the lounges are sprinkled around the ship and not crammed together deck 3 fwd 😆

I think it’s about the placement, those other promenade lounges are still tucked in with a pathway just on the outside. They’ve also gone out of their way to seal them off, at least the one themed to Soul.

Great review. Hopefully I can get on this ship someday. I’m also looking forward to the food review - I found the food on the Fantasy very underwhelming (especially given the cost of the trip). The Treasure is even more expensive, so that might be the dealbreaker. You guys nailed it in the other Treasure video calling the main dining room food aspirational - I wish they would just serve basic food thats good, instead fancier food thats mediocre. Sounds like maybe they moved towards this at the Coco restaurant.

Are the seats in the theater still narrow? Kinda hoping they fixed that. I’m not even a bigger person and it was uncomfortable for me on the Wish. Excited to sail in October 2025!

We went on the Thanksgiving week Disney Treasure cruise. My favorite venue was Sarabi. And loved the food served at Cocoa. Enjoy your week long trip, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I briefly saw them testing that villains show on the wish a few weeks after maiden voyage... I wandered in and they were like "please leave". There's no reason it couldn't come to the wish.

Tom - There is a late-night buffet, you just have to look for it. We had it on the 7 night Thanksgiving test cruise.

The food on all DCL ships have been the main issue I don’t want to return. We have over 10 cruises and it’s the same 💩all the time. How about a craft burger or highend chicken sandwich. Etc. no more sea bass ! Ha

I'm a Disney fan through-and-through, but it's hard to compare the claustrophobic layouts, low ceilings, small public spaces and the pathetic 1990's Carnival-style pool deck to Royal Caribbean Oasis or Icon class ships. Pricing-wise, a 2-floor loft suite can be had on an Oasis class ship for around the same price as a "veranda" room on the Wish or Treasure. I'd love to see Disney introduce a more modern, larger, better thought out ship layout with proper 'neighborhoods' -- something they are most likely going to be doing in the Asian markets for those ships. Experiencing the Haunted Mansion bar would no doubt be a huge draw, but the reality is on a packed ship it will be Oga's on steroids on the high seas. Thanks for the in-depth and well-done review guys.

Just got off the Wish yesterday and we were in port the same time as the treasure! It was hard not to want to be on an even newer ship haha but after watching this, and for anyone deciding ships, we had so much fun and it feels like its mostly theming. I will say I put things down a little bit with these reviews but we had a fantastic time. The villains hollywood squares show was on the wish. I also agree, we loved the general entertainment but little mermaid and aladdin at times felt like high school plays. Parts were fun but they could use a complete revamp. My favorite show was night one when goofy took the wheel of the ship from minnie! Ride the aquamouse when its cold so you dont have to wait. and get used to servers being almost TOO nice. they even put table clothes on our sleeping kids. I will say we loved 1923 cause it was quiet. marvel was noisy and not that fun. Arendelle is well themed but its easy to have a bad table. we also paid for Olaf's picnic and it actually became a highlight for the kids (good thing kids dont have a concept of price). As always thanks for all you do! Im watching this as we get off of being on the wish back to back for 7 days (which i recomend), and its helping me cope.

Yes, these cruises would be better if not for all the people. 😉 Love DCL for the professionalism of the staff/crew/entertainers. I worry the haunted mansion bar will be too crowded, not place to sit and too busy. I love the Disney Magic best. Sounds like they need to revisit the quality of the food on these ships.

Crowds are a legitimate concern, as they are for all of their ships though I think the Magic class are the best if you don't like crowds. -Eric

Coco…I will say there is a huge difference in quality of performers that started on the Wish for Frozen and what is on now…so concerned that by May we will not get the best performers 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now the question is.... If the Haunted Mansion bar is the blueprint for a possible restaurant in the upcoming Villan's land, is the experience so much better that the Haunted Mansion immediately feels outdated if located adjacent?

Just from the short blurb that I saw with everyone sitting behind their phones holding everything up to film everything I do believe that the last cruise ship I’d wanna be on is a Disney ship. I don’t feel like dodging cameras and I don’t feel like having dining experiences where everybody’s camera is up in front of their faces. I’m a DVC member and I’ll go to DVC but don’t stick me on a ship with all of those people.

It is so disappointing, underwhelming and insulting that the accessibility problems of the DCL Wish were not addressed by Disney. Proving those were *deliberate* discrimination. Many of the original issues were easy, cheap fixes. Often simple laziness, or bigotry, or arrogance. Disney simply *cannot be bothered* to be inclusive or respectful. Millions of people who have done nothing wrong are merely "not worth it", for Disney. 20% of your customers, including Make-A-Wish kids, parents, alumni, volunteers... who Disney *claims* to support - are treated as unimportant. Let's be frank, you look like LIARS, Disney. Disney CLAIMS to "respect" and "care" about disabled folks... but it's all hollow words. Lies. Cynical mockery. Fraud. No other customer groups are quite so viciously silenced. Disregarded. Ignored. Unwanted. Insulted. Message received, Disney, you choose to discriminate. So, we won't bother to "insult" you, Disney, with our "icky" money, in return. Why would we want to waste our money on bigots?
