Tom tells Ravenhead outright that he thinks this whole meeting is bullshit, and offers him every out imaginable for his answers - it's not just a softball, it's a fucking feather duster. And yet Ravenhead just brazenly admits to... everything? Maybe it's like that scene in The Big Short - "he's not confessing, he's bragging." Thinks he's untouchable. Still though, sheesh.

It's always so interesting to see the characters process in real time that they are the bad guys in this world. like Roman talking about seeing on twitter all these people happy that Logan might die. They know to a degree that they are all on the side of evil but to have the life and power they have they need to keep with it. Tom is clearly disturbed by this, and knows it's wrong that he has a job and is covering the news but at the same time how is he going to fire the nazi the company essentially hired to be a nazi.

Is this supposed to be an endorsement for “Succession”? Its humor is worthy of “The Office”? Now, that’s funny
@gianni206 Жыл бұрын
@@Potatotenkopf Yeah actually. Around season 5 Michael, the goofy boss, quits the office and sets up his own paper company to compete with them. Then in season 6, a company called Sabre buys out the main paper company, and some characters deal with new policies and corruption. Throughout the show, the question of “what makes a hostile work environment” is usually explored using the overworked bootlicker Dwight Shrute, the cowardly HR rep Toby, and various other characters and certain points. The Office is also framed the same way as Succession, using guerrilla camera techniques. It overstays its welcome after season 6, and season 1 has a different tone to the rest of the show, but overall season 1 through 6 is a smart and funny show, with multiple references to office and corporate politics.
@Potatotenkopf Жыл бұрын
