It took 2 Houdini “miracles” in the final 35 seconds of that 2007 Super Bowl for the Giants to pull it off. First, Eli somehow escaped a near-certain sack which probably would have given the Patriots a 19-0 season. Then after the escape by Eli, the Giants receiver makes one of the most improbable “helmet” catches in NFL history. He is absolutely right. If you look at the history of football, it is so many teams that have won back to back Super Bowls but they were never able to 3 peat

In 2007, did they consider the Patriots to have a 50% chance of winning (or greater) the super bowl before playing Jacksonville in the divisional series? I tried searching but was unable to get their odds at that point.
@AlchemicalAudio26 күн бұрын
I would say, as a franchise there is a 1 in 4 chance of winning back to back super bowls, at some point in the team’s existence. It doesn’t seem as rare when I think of it that way.
@dalehammers442521 күн бұрын
How do you figure there's a 1 in 4 chance when several teams have never made it there once? Only a few teams have more than 1 SB victory in their history, where are you getting this 1/4 back to backs?

I'm a chiefs fan and I think the chiefs will make the playoffs but winning a 3rd straight. No. That will never happen. It's near impossible.
@OfficerTyreek6 ай бұрын
Why not? In 2022, they had the best offense, last year they had top 3 defense. Next year I think will be the best team they have had since Tyreek left based on who they brought in and drafted.

Chiefs will 3-peat.
@holycow38904 ай бұрын
Look at the history of 3-peats. Some of the best teams like pats, 49ers, steelers couldn't do it. It's almost a curse to even try.

You should give up your fan card, and I hope you hated this season.
@holycow389021 күн бұрын
@dalehammers4425 there's a reason nobody has 3 peated and I stand by even though a chiefs fan as I have no clue how there 14-1. Unless there offense improves they will not 3 peat.

The 07 super bowl was flukey but then again so was the one against the Seahawks when Pete Carroll gave it away...
@enigmafiresup46585 ай бұрын
Indeed. Then again, so was Mahomes past two super bowls. Both games he trailed in and probably should have lost, but questionable officiating and decision making by his opposition allowed him to win in the end.

Since Mahommes has had a good defense the last 1.5 years, he never loses the big games. He doesn't give a damn about the stats anymore. He just wants to win the 3-peat and possibly go undefeated!! Patrick Mahommes keeps sending them home!! Bars!!!!

Pats closed out that season beating Giants to go 16-0 Ironically I think it motivated Big Blue and gave them the confidence to defeat them in the Big Game. The Pats also only scored 14 points and looked tight the whole game. No ther team has won every regular season game tho Quite impressive
