Earlier in 2024, I finally decided to listen to the music from *Pet Sounds.* I will say that I understand why it was so well-liked among Beach Boys albums. At first when they came out in 1988 with "Kokomo", it somehow took me a little while before I discovered it was a Beach Boys song.

Mike Love's sister was the Harp player for Pink Martini. I got to meet the band in an autograph session after a show at Massey Hall in Toronto. I said that must have been interesting growing up with Mike and the Beach Boys. She just answered "yes". I recently read the book Chaos by Tom O'Neill and Terry Melcher's name came up. His mother was Doris Day. Another interesting tid bit of information. Yes ....I can see how the Beatles were influenced by the Beach Boys and their harmonizing. The beginnings of the Beach Boys is quite funny if you never heard that story. They used grocery money left to them by their parents to buy instruments when their parents went on a holiday. The rest is history!!!!!
