And the five musicians who hate Mitchell? "Jalouzie de metier" as old as the world.

His first two albums definitely resembled Van Morrison. Kitty's Back has that "Moondance" feel, and Spirits in the Night was at least inspired by Wild Night. Like Morrison, his output over the years has been mediocre.

Nobody loved himself more than Blackmore. And why is Townshend bitching about showmanship and theatrics? lmao This from the same man who does the windmill and smashes his guitar? What a turd. And why would you regret giving advice to Hendrix? God forbid someone becomes more popular than you Pete. I really like the Who but arrogance and insecurity seethes from this man.

May Pang truly cared for him. When he was with her he was happy and healthy and reconnecting with his son Julian. May encouraged him to rebuild that relationship. Then he got back together with Yoko Ono and all that stopped. He was a weak man and a terrible father.

I have to admit this is one of those "My X favorite" drummers, guitarists, bassists, etc video's that I have watched where I completely agree with all of the choices. Every one of the drummers Copeland picked were outstanding in their own right. Of course you can add the names of others to this list but these were all great choices.

I can understand Pete Townshends envy of Ritchie Blackmore. As a virtual nobody and a horrific guitar player I feel exactly the same way.But I am astounded that townshend has the arrogance to criticize not just a vituoso who composed Smoke on the Water but one of Rocks MOST prolific composers. Even until very recently his work with Blackmores Night is amazing.

Samantha Fish has better legs than all of them and she's not bad, either. Joan Jett is a cover band, at best. Meh. There's others better than these and especially Joni Mitchell, What? Name a good song by her and I will pass out.

Hank Marvin is obviously an important impact for Gilmour. Maybe Jeff Beck too. 2.00 - Cymbaline live versions of 1970 his solos were already good! Listen to ALL LOVERS ARE DERANGED - Chuck Berry!

Music Is Not A Competition. It is an ART FORM. Frank Zappa described his music as an "Air Sculpture". I think that's a fair assessment of music and live performance in general. RIP Maestro...

only version you should listen to is the 1970 bbc in concert version (carolina on mymind is phenomenal too) but its slower, its heavy and it clearly meant a lot to him. personally i find it the best version of this masterpiece

The Holy Grail of Rock drumming begins and ends with one John Bonham ! Copeland is top 10 AT imo. Today it's all about drums that sound like cardboard..practice pads lol..Drums need to breathe and resonate. !

Saw him with Humble Pie, once in Hawaii with a 16 year old Peter Frampton, Marriot was intense, almost to the level of Janis Joplin. But this is the fourth or fifth YT video that refers to artist as sharp-tongued almost to the point of promoting that aggression is good. This says to me AI created and piss poor AI at that! What the hell you promoting? Hate? Aggressiveness. Shame on Studio Number 6.

For me, it's Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Going to California, The Ocean, and Stairway to Heaven. In that order. All for different reasons. Everyone will have their own personal favorites or greatest lists. That's the mark of a truly great band. It doesn't matter if it's The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, Metallica, Iron Maiden, or any other great band. There may be "better" songs, but it all boils down to what speaks to the listener.
