I'm with Tom E. - Sit him. Figure your line out first, and while you're doing that, settle Drake down. Eight wins for this team would be a miracle, so the playoffs are probably out of the question. Do whatever is necessary to develop the QB. As long as the team is improving each week, the wins will come later. Belichick's first year was 5-11. Parcells' first year was worse. It takes time to do it correctly.

Very true. The first bad game by Brissett will have these guys screaming for Maye. No wonder sports radio is a dying business. The Offensive point is that they can run at will. Now teams will need to load the box, which SHOULD open up a lot of things for the passing game. As far as Maye goes, he still has a lot to work on. He needs to operate under Center better. He has a tendency to move his feet too much and that leads him to frequently move twards the OL break downs. I'm rather certain Drake will get there but there's no need to rush him in. I would prefer holding off on Maye until the latter half of the season. They can't operate this Offense from the shotgun 70% of the time

When Brissett has a bad passing game, people will start screaming for Maye. Could be as early as next week. Every one of these guys changes based on what happened yesterday. They have no plans, no long term strategies, they just cry and scream for whoever is willing to listen. I miss sports radio, used to be worth listening to while driving.

I'm still a little gun shy due to the failed Mac Jones experience, so I'm happy to eat some L's if it means Drake is going to have every chance to succeed later on. I'm happy to see Jacoby take the lead for most of the year even, my eyes are more on 2025.

Uh, I have some news for you. Mac Jones completely sucked. Let me list the facts (not sure why I need to): - Mac's incredibly weak arm - Mac can't run - Mac has a tiny amount of mobility, but his throws on the run are often very inaccurate - Mac has mental weaknesses and collapses when things start to go bad, can take him weeks to recover - Mac never takes any responsibility, it's always someone else's fault - Mac is still the immature kid that he was as a rookie, hasn't matured one bit - Mac cheapshots opposing players like some punk, generally not a likable person Drake Maye hasn't show any of these problems at this point and clearly is the opposite in many of them. In short, Drake Maye is not Mac Jones for which we should all be very grateful.

@@F0rger513 2026 isn't far away. It's not like a full rebuild. The defense may be very good, the special teams may be very good. The rb may be very good. Drake Maye may be very good. People need to stop acting like this is the beginning of some massive rebuild. They need to build up the offense and develop Maye. That's basically what needs to be done. 2026 is the year people should be expecting and next year should be noticeably better than this year. No excuse for Kraft to not spend next year, he can't continue being the cheapest owner in the league. No Belichick and Brady to bail him out, he needs to spend. I'd say the biggest impediment to this is Kraft. I really don't know if he will ever spend. Staying in the bottom tier of spending will be hard for this team to overcome.

Sitting Drake Maye for the entire season would be stupid. As soon as the pats are behind in a game Jacoby becomes useless. He cannot throw you back into a game and even during this last game he almost blew the game with that throw Hunter had to breakup so it was not intercepted. Maye needs to be playing by week 7.
