I bought this cd when it came out. I was in a long enquiries queue in the HMV Oxford Street branch, holding the cd when a woman, a good few behind me in the queue, saw the cd in my hand and so she attracted my attention and said "I see you have the same cd as me and I'm in a hurry to get back to work, so I'm wondering if your enquiry is the same as mine?". Yes it was, and no, it wasn't available on vinyl. But as I said to this woman, it's not as if we were both buying the latest Simply Red,or whoever else was big at the time. Two people buying a cd of an interview with Tom, both as the same time, seemed to me to be uncanny! She told me how she was an old friend of the band and had moved from Swansea to London with them. She clearly had loads of stories to tell, but very sadly for me, I lost her number. If you get to read this, my fleeting Badfinger friend/fan, and you recall our encounter, you now know why I never did get in touch. But maybe it's not too late? I'd still love to meet up. If you would respond to this, we could work something out!

Sad and tragic story of great musicians being trusting to their art and doing their part but getting lied to and deceived by people who would take advantage of innocence and trust, and steal their money, their souls and ultimately their will to live!

It must have been a real shocker for Tom. A couple hours before you are talking to your good mate then you get a phone call and find out he is GONE! We are left with the unbearable guilt what could I have said or do to change their mind. I don't think Tom ever worked it out because he too let it grow inside of him and he also check out too soon. Brave men who just didn't know how to stop the pain or despicable Stan Polley.
