Agree he’s spot on with everything. This is that grown man cologne not for everyday use only when you going out to something special. You give someone a hug this will creep on them like damn that smells good.

Love this scent. I gave it 4 sprays at 10am yesterday and I'm still getting whiff 27 hours later! Classy aroma is fast becoming my favourite Tom Ford.

I'm a lady who prefers woody fragrances. Oud is one of my favorite notes, especially when paired with the sweetness of Amber. This men's cologne is pure magic on a woman's skin. I tried it at Neiman's yesterday, and it lasted all day. In my experience, colognes that are deemed too subtle for a man, often work wonders with a woman's PH. I'm in love with this fragrance and will wear it as perfume. Shhh. Our secret. 😉

I own Oud Wood, Tobacco Vanille, Tuskan Leather and I share Black Orchid with my moms. I got Tuskan Leather, it instantly reminded me of you for some reason, It would suit you well. Oud Wood is probably the only one that sits as close to the skin out of the entire private blend. Glad to see you gave the entrée Tom Ford's a try also, Grey Vetiver and Neroli Portefino are suppose to be the best ones. Also give Black Orchid a try if you're feeling ballsy, it's ment for women but men can wear it too. May I recommend using Unscented Palmer's cocoa butter before you apply it, it helps it last longer and helps it project more. Showering and being moisturised and pH balanced helps the fragrance last longer and smell stronger and more pure. Respect from the U.K. Adam.

This might be just me but, how much longevity are you expecting from 1-2 sprays on your skin? 6 hours sounds fine to me. Last time I had oud wood on, I could still smell it after I woke up the next day.

For everybody saying the performance is not that good on oud wood just doesn’t know how to properly spray it. Sure it’s not a beast mode fragrance like others, but it’s not meant to be. It’s meant to be a non offensive, light, classy and relaxing scent. I usually go with 10 sprays on pulse points followed with a few on my shirt and it easily lasts all day long. Is it projecting across the room? No, but I don’t want it to. I sprayed it in the morning around 9:45 am and smelt it all the way until the evening when I got home from a Christmas party at around 11:00 pm. Remember, some fragrances require a bit more sprays to last and also, the atomizers on Tom Ford fragrances do not put out a lot of juice. When compared to my bottle of Aqua Di gio Profumo which sprays the equivalent of two to three sprays of oud wood in just one spray. If you go with just 4 sprays of oud wood of course you won’t be able to smell it, also, I do go nose blind with this scent but then I get whiffs of it throughout the day which reminds me it is still in fact there and when I do smell it it’s so damn good and it’s such a relaxing scent. Oud wood and Ombré leather are my top two from Tom Ford at the moment and I’ve smelt pretty much all their is to be offered.

I bought this last week without knowing how terrible the projection was. It's an incredible smelling cologne, but I need to have an aromatizer with me to keep re applying it. But it's a 10 on the scent scale.

O.G., I have tobacco oud / vanille, Italian Cypress, Grey Vetiver, Noir Ext, Black orchid and Port Neroli for extreme heat. Just picked up oud wood and oud mineral; however, they smell off-putting and give me a slight headache. Great review - keep giving the peeps what we want👍🏾

Hey i have smelled this cologne before on Brain from BR y remember him. well that's pretty much all he wore and v this was a few years ago. i LIKEd how it smelled. however when i did smell it, he was just v putting it on for evening life. but i agree for the cost it wasn't a gift he was ever gonna receive from me. great review. that's for the details, demonstration and your value opinion. Great review, Style OG! Recently received a sample of this when I picked up a bottle of Tom Ford Grey Vetiver. I agree with the sentiments you expressed with regard to performance and value. Beautiful scent. Sillage and projection leave a little to be desired especially for this amount of $$$.

Great scent it's just the sillage/projection is so poor. Lasts about 2 hours on me. For me what's the point of a perfume if people can't smell it and compliment you on how good you smell.

Well, I have to say that Oud Wood is my favorite from Tom Ford! I think you could say it's a niche version of Prada L'Homme, not that they smell similar but the scent character from both of them is reserved and not offensive. It's great for the office and a formal event! Definitely one of the best ( if not the best ) Oud Fragrance on the market. Your Review on this one was great, I got all of the information I needed... A very good fragrance, goes well in the cooler months. Longevity and projection can be increased by blending with molecule 01. It stops conversations and turns heads.

Accurate review. I smelled the scent and fell in love and as a result purchased it. Should of done more research. It I knew the performance and projection was that poor I would have brought another fragrance. Tobacco Vanille perhaps. Ironically ombré leather which is cheaper has better performance and projection.

OG your on point from my perspective. I love this line especially Neroli Portofino, but the longevity doesn't warrant the $/ml cost. There are to many alternatives for close encounter (all a skin scent is good for) type fragrances. I have blended NP with Molecules 01 as a base and that helped a bit with the longevity.

rafadefaria I just picked this and oud mineral up a few weeks ago. I layer my oud wood with black orchid to disolve any hints of the orchid being too unisex/fem. I applied oud mineral, waited for it to dry and topped it with portofino neroli. Worked great on my skin, hopefully that helps💪🏾

Totally agree with you. Great review. Amazing scent but for the price tag you there are so many better ouds in the market place. Real talk, i suggest the beard oil my fellow #beardgang brethren. 50$ per 1oz . For those without a beard or those that must have an oud fragrance i would suggest Gucci oud, M7 by YSL, Versace Oud Noire & Oud & Bergamot by Jo Malone. Or even Honey Oud by Montale

Even from a full bottle, 8-10 sprays, it is hard to sniff 6 hours later. It is more a skin scent all the way. It is my latest purchase. In the past 2-3 years I have been buying more and more expensive fragrances, including niche. I have bought since 2012 more than 300 fragrances. The best I own was my number 15th which I bought at the end of 2013. Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. Scent wise, the best I have. Performance wise, just perfect 10-12 hours. When I take a shower after 12 hours, it is lesser a skin scent that Oud Woud after 4-5 hours. Even the weaker Chanel Allure Homme Sport performs better. Furthermore, I can wear Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme all year round. Even in hot weather, although many people might find it too sweet. Price wise, the same price for the 100 ML Chanel as for the 30 ML Tom Ford. It seems I have been looking for the Holy Grail, but already have it in my collection since the very first year I became an addicted collector.

Gym Rat 5 I hear ya, I don’t like it when an expensive fragrance performs poorly, either, but with some notes it just doesn’t seem to be possible, although oud, vanilla and amber are not of them. Nonetheless, many fragrances are so good the scent makes up for poor sillage and then some and one tends to be limited if beast mode is a sine qua non. One niche house that consistently delivers in terms of performance is Parfums de Marly, some of the loudest fragrances around.
