Fifty years ago I bought my parents to see Tom in Framingham, Mass at a dinner club. They loved it. One of the few times they went out. Still going strong old Tom. When Mike Douglas had him on his TV show , Mike was taken aback with Tom's rough character look. But Tom belted out his tunes on 1970's TV and Mike Douglas's jaw dropped.

This is cool!😎 To see the legendary Tom Jones up close and intimate like this is great! Wow! I saw him live at Summerfest years ago and I went specifically to see him live. He had a slick suit on and backup singers. His Voice was booming over the crowd! I was impressed and said now that’s.a Singer! He sang all his classic hits and the crowd reacted whenever a familiar classic hit of his started. Especially It’s Not Unusual and Whats New Pussycat? The crowd was all ages and into every song! A Great show! I was so happy to see him live finally because my late uncle loved his music but never had the chance to see him live. As for me, I remember watching his TV show years ago as a kid and the excitement that generated especially with the ladies. I thought this guy can really belt out a song! So I finally got to see and hear him live and I was impressed! He is one of Greats!

If I hadn't missed the schooling I would have graduated the same year that It's Not Unusual came out. My hubby who was born the same year as Sir Tom, always followed Toms success, he loved Sir Toms music, my husband passed a few months back, but I am very sure he is listening to Praise and Blame, his kind of Soul. Yes. Jones has always worked with excellent musicians and been generously complimentary of them. I remember his frequent praise on his late-60s tv show of his band's ace guitarist, Big Jim Sullivan, to whom Jones eventually gave a weekly solo spot. The topnotch American studio guitarist Cornell Dupree gave Jones high marks for his unpretentiousness and professionalism during recording sessions. R.I.P. Cornell and Big Jim.
