Dino Dinelli is right up there among the GREATEST drummer in rock music. He never received the recognition from mainstream media he deserves for his making the Rascals the greatest of bands. Another underrated drummer is Carmine Appice from the Vanilla Fudge. Kudos to Bobby Elliot as well (Hollies). 🥁🎶🎼🎵

I was 11 years old and saw The Rascals and the Nazz in NY in 1966 ...Both bands were excellent live-great musicianship. My parents brought me and my best pal to the concert..They sat 5 feet away from us and were wearing matching Nehru Jackets!!!!!! They freaked out watching the Nazz because.... well..they wore satin peach colored pants and no underwear..on that note I will leave with fond and funny memories!!! Truly the Rascals are really good musicians

Gene’s book was a truly excellent read … honest, unsparing (especially of himself), but full of love for everybody, including all his former band mates. Fascinating details on the the music, written by a good man. And damn, listening to the just released NOW SOUNDS 6 CD Rascals box set - great audio, at last! - i realize that Gene Cornish was ONE HELL OF A FINE GUITARIST, and PERFECT for the truly Rascals - easily the greatest American band (imo) of the second half of the 60’s.

I just luv that soulful vibe from Felix. He does it so effortlessly cuz he has it in his soul. Saw him in 01/2023 in Honolulu & that man has still got that soulful thing goin' on & has more energy than any of us! Also, I must mention that we'll miss Dino. RIP, sweet man! Groove on in heaven.

Tom was invited to perform at Vets Auditorium, Des Moines, IA in the summer of '69. Promoters voted that down when he wanted a guaranteed purse of 75K. That was better expected in Chicago or L.A. at that point in time.

My mother and I were big Tom Jones fans. We watched "This is Tom Jones" every week. We went to see him in concert with my young sister. My little sister went to the stage to give him a flower. He took it, bent down, kissed her, and stuck his tongue in her mouth practically down her throat. You couldn't do that today. Now, read about Barbara Eden's account of her experience with him when she was 18/19 years old and appeared on his show. Everytime time, I see him, I remember that. Sunrise Musical Theatre in Florida early 80s. Sorry Tom. That changed it all for me. In this video, Dino🙏🏻⚘️💗 looks pissed and Felix looks tired and over it. Eddie is serious and Gene's looking to Felix almost as if thinking, "When's this going to be over, Fe?" Tom screaming over Felix is noticeable. It sounds like Felix's mic's volume was turned down lower than Tom's. That bugaloo head bopping of his is too much and off the charts. He didn't do that when he sang with Wilson Pickett on his show. Tom was clearly trying to bear over the Rascals. In this "sing-off", Felix won, Tom. The Rascals could not ever be out shined. Rest in Peace, Dino.
