Totally agree. I was in high school in the 80s, came up with NWA, 2Pac, and all that. Then went on to De La Soul, Nas, Wu Tang, Warren G, Beastie Boys, of course Dre and Snoop and Jay Z. I really liked hip hop and rap around 1999 to about 2005, when 50Cent, Nelly, and that entire era was kicking off great beats and great lyrics, shit you could dance to at the club. Since then, it's all gone downhill. Just tired of all these rappers talking about "ho's, drugs, guns, etc" it got old. I gave up on hip hop/rap around 2005/6. Tom MacDonald brought be back to rap. I'm def a new fan as of about 3 weeks ago.
