I feel like I could have a deep, meaningful conversation with you about anything... Like the best friend or big brother we all wish we had.... Thanks Tom , for your music, your time, and most of all, for being real..... Ordering your album and shirt next week when I get paid. Been sick for a while, and a cancer survivor.... I have 8 kids and a loving wife. Sometimes though, I feel like a part of me is missing. When I listen to your music, I feel like I've still got a chance.... I know struggle. I see you do too.... Watching as both sides fight and follow lies, while I just laugh and get high. But as a 31 year old father now, with an 8 year old princess who I want to make proud, it kills me to see this world she'll grow up in. Trying to keep hope but every day feels closer to the breaking point. Use to be one part could break and we fall back on the others, but now we look around and every single foundation is crumbling. When the first shoe drops, the rest will fall with it. No hope to hold onto, no best outcome in sight, the only comfort I believe is if God takes us all tonight. I don't want to grow up in a world without her freedom, I don't want her to grow up in a world that wants her beaten bc the color of her skin or the religion she grew up in. I just can't find peace, I'm praying but the world outside is screaming so loud i can't think straight.

@GingerBeardMan Dunn. Just raise her to be strong and skeptical. It is the natural ebb and flow of history that strong, smart people create great civilizations. People get lazy and weak and then fight over the scraps of that civilization. At some point, people will have enough and the strong/smart will move back in, rebuild, and times will be hopeful again. It's sad that our children must grow up in this world, but there are always great things to see experience in life. Also, look on the bright side; we aren't living in the feudal ages, we aren't in the trenches in ww1, we aren't being invaded by the huns or the mongolians.

Well done bro, thank you. My dad passed on as soon as i turned 18, graduated high school and was finally old enough to take a chance at life on my own. I would love for him to still be here so we could interact as adults, instead i find myself wishing to be a kid again that much more, just so i could talk with him one last time. But life goes on, and its selfish of me to wish him back only to have him endure through that fuck8ng cancer again. Cheers.

Look on the bright side. You knew your dad. You got to spend that time with him. You have those memories. Look back on the good times with a smile and learn from the bad times. I feel the need to say this to anyone who's lost their dad because I never met mine. 14 years I've lived without him. Over a decade, he left me... Always cherish the memories you have with your dad and look forward to seeing him again when your time arrives!

Thank you brother for your service. My time on the big Grey hunk of junk is the only time I wish I could have done differently. May the winds blow to speed you to your destination, may the seas churn enough to help you grow. May it rain just enough so you never know thirst. May your sails rip only when you can repair them. May land appear when you need a rest. And may the seas be bountiful so you never know hunger.

My husband, the father of my boys.. he passed away 5 years ago today at 29 years old.. he had severe epilepsy. He showed me this song about a month or so before then and he broke down crying and when I asked him “This makes you think of yourself, doesn’t it..? And he just cried even more and all he said was the name of our oldest son who at the time was 11. I tried to ask what he meant and he didn’t ever answer me.. he just cried. I still to this day am not really sure why he said that.. but our oldest son is the one who found him the morning he died. I can’t help but always wonder what he exactly meant.. sometimes I wonder if he knew without knowing, what would happen. Our oldest is almost 16, going on 17 now and he’s such an amazing teenager. I wish I knew what he meant.. it seemed so spot on for himself so it threw me off when he said, through tears, our oldest son’s name.

Aspects of this are still so cringe tho. From his image (that conforms so close to the parts of hiphop/rap that he critisizes) to half of his hooks/choruses being cornball and sappy... They undercut the great lyrics and message. Just being honest, not hatin. I definitely think he's ultimately underrated, but i cant blame people. Tom MacDonald is what Uncle Adams wishes he could be (an inspirational/motivational rapper that doesn't have to rap about violence, drugs, hoes, etc that doesn't suck). Tom almost pulls it off perfectly, but there are mixed messages and image issues still afoot

@@Theundisputedelite Oh trust me I know I make music myself, but because I don't use my music to pick on people and offend them just for kicks, I only have 24 subs lol. & okay there, I know some of his older music was deep and meaningful, but clearly Tom has no problem selling his soul cause he went from "Don't let society tear you down, let's empower each other" to "I'm gonna wear a 'make America hate again' ski mask to own the libs! Hahaha I offended you, you politically correct snowflake!" and now he's back to the good side again with this song: "It's okay to be gay/fat/etc." which is the exact opposite of the vibes those previous two songs gave off. That's WHY he is blowing up, because he is willing to sell his soul, that's why he's going to blow up "all the way" and it's why I have no sympathy for him when he bitches about being hated on.

I stumbled on this video way back and decided to get help. I then looked back at all the fun I used to have with my family because of this video doing the same thing. Thank you for saving me and allowing me to be with my family again. Im in tears and feel so stupid writing this in a comment section. I always dress up as Santa Claus and do Christmas lessons for my students, but on Christmas Day I am actually alone and not really celebrating. I am at least giving positive memories to my students (I have worked at 7 schools so I have probably had around 2 to 3 thousand students), but it does feel strange to have gone 10 years without really having a Christmas.

This is the FIRST celebrity that has won my admiration and respect. Most of the time I despise all celebrities, they are usually terrible and despicable human beings that deserve nothing but contempt, even if I admire their artistic creations, but this guy, my God, what a soul. Not only his art, but also his biography, he's a true inspiration, I hope the kids today will have this guy as their idol. I certanly wish MY kids to do so.

I was only __ when I first listened to this,i knew every word and every meaning, everything,I bursted into a silent cry.I was a people pleaser,i have a fear of contamination on me or my property,I had stress, anxiety and mental issues.I knew everything because i was a teachers pet,not the one who would tell everyone to shush and ask the teacher for more tests,I was the one that was friends with the teacher and aced my studies because of the fear my parents love no longer.Over-thinker,pleaser,pressured-you’d think i’d have behavioural issues, nope kept it for my room and my room only with occasional slip-ups,never in school though. still have these issues :,) sometimes your wish won’t come true and if not,it’s what your god(mine is Allah🙏or u may not have one) has decided and that’s how you’ll be🫶love yourself x

Manuel Ramos sincere sympathy. I lost my FATHER in 2008, my father got to meet both of my sons but time has barely given him EXISTENCE anymore. He was an alcoholic but not a mean alcoholic he never claimed to be perfect and he was a people magnet. There was something about him that people admired. He is still teaching me about life since he left. Most times I realize he was even stronger than I gave him credit for while here. My mom passed in 2016. For the first time in my life I felt a disconnect with the universe the 2 people who were responsible for giving me life were gone and my sister was TOXIC as a narcassist she had always been dominating and I eliminated her from my life in 2009 and I'm so much better for it..but I just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain of losing a parent. I wish you peace and love. The best thing we can do to honor a loved one past is give then the present of our presence now it's not a coincidence that the definition of present is gift and the same sounding means right now. Much love stay blessed.

"I wish, I wish, I wish with every candle on the cake, that I could quit doing these drugs but I can't and I'm afraid" brought tears to my eyes. The most prominent thought in my head for a few years. People say just stop and I have done that more than 20 times. But two weeks later right back where I started. I think there is something wrong with me I try so hard but I just can't come through. I feels good to hear the words come from someone else. As horrible as it sounds, it feels good to know that I'm not broken alone.

If it takes 100 times DON'T STOP TRYING!! I'm 12 years sober, I'll be the first to say "I LOVED GETTING HIGH!" I respect that BUT, BUT I hated the consequences! I never once saw a happy successful drug addict so I knew it wasn't possible! I don't lie to myself and say I hate it because I loved the escape HOWEVER, I was "escaping" the good stuff too! I think understanding that was the first step for me. I don't know what it'll take for you but hopefully maybe something I said helps even just a tiny bit! I didn't get it the first time either. Went to a great rehab and deleted every number and "friend" from my old life and just took each feeling as it came... sometimes screaming into a pillow but I got through it. YOU CAN DO IT! Good luck

Nick, Try to see things from another state of mind, don't be to hard on yourself. She mary you for a reason, isn't she? I'm sure she knows now, and felling the way you are it's obvious you loved her, and she sees, and how proud she might be witnesses you raise your consciousness and grow your wisdom🤗 What if she's now your spiritual guide? What if, she wasn't in the other realm, you wouldn't be on this realisation of yourself now... Forgive yourself 🤗 Believe

It hasn't even been a year yet, sense his passing and i have not had the time to grieve.. sometimes randomly when no one is around i break down an cry. I wish I could hear one more Vietnam story of his or one family memory of us catching fish again.. whatever story I wish i would have stayed at the hospital that night when i drop some movies off for him.. cuz a part of me thinks, if i would have stayed, my Presence would have kept him alive. I know exactly what you mean and it's not crazy at all. I still vividly remember my sister calling me from the hospital with our dad at 8:02am March 15 2007, "Mike, come now, take a cab don't bus just come!" As the taxi pulled up to my house and I went to get in my neighbour was asking about my dad, I filled him in but every now and then the scene replays in my head and I wish I would've ignored him and jumped in the cab. I got to the hospital at 8:53am, my dad passed at 8:47am...i still to this day wish i never talked to my neighbour, even though i know it probably wouldn't have made any difference, but still, yeah i understand what you mean!
