I am so very very sorry for your loss!! Music has gotten me through the last 6 months since my mom, 64, unexpectedly fell and hit her head in our home and there was nothing we could do to save her, just tripped and hit back of her head on a ledge. Upchurch reactions got me through yesterday and Tom and above today while doing an activity we’ve always done together for the last 17 years and I wasn’t sure how I’d get through it. Flawd’s streams of music are incredible if you’ve never checked him out. Not sure if you’ve ever listened to Country but if you are spiritual as well TyHerndon is incredible!!

Addiction is a struggle that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I watched my little brother struggle with it. It very nearly killed him. He tried to take his own life (and came incredibly close to succeeding) because of the guilt he felt for putting his family through so much pain. He didn't think he was strong enough to fight it. He was fortunate though that he had family who refused to give up on him. He's been clean for over 17 years now. He is truly one of the strongest men I have ever known and I'm so incredibly proud of him. I hope you have people who love and support you. But in case nobody has told you this, I'm proud of you. It's not easy but it is definitely worth it. You are worth it. I wish you nothing but the best. God bless you. ❤️

Tom, I’m not sure if you’ll ever see this but when you dropped this song in 2022 I was in the heart of my addiction. After 4 years of being an alcoholic from ages 19-23, (the last 6 months I drank I was drinking a 5th of liquor a day, not to count the bar trips and cocaine), today is June 24, 2024. Tomorrow is 1 year since I got arrested. August 19, 2024 will be one year sober (Currently 310 days sober). Thank you for your music. Thank you for your truth that you share with others. I can’t tell you how big of an impact all of your music has had on me through my journey to sobriety. From listening to your songs like Scars, Sober, I Don’t Drink, Angels and Withdrawals, while balling my eyes out and drinking straight from the bottle, to listening to your songs with goosebumps and teary eyes with my head held high knowing that daily I am overcoming my addictions is a testament to the soul you put into your music. I pray God blesses you and your family. Thank you for everything. #HOG4LIFE “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20

For over 70 years from the early 1900s all the way up until the late 1960s, men were proud of being able to go to work and deal with hell… Only to come back and smile at their wife and children. Today the wife is not at home anymore, the children are daycare. The man has no reason to be the head of household because there is no household… Just a mutual partnership with a marriage license and lease attached. I’ve never felt the need to ever comment on a video…literally this is my first comment on any video on KZbin, but I have to for this song. Tom has so many amazing, well written, and well thought out songs, however “Scars” by far is my favorite. It’s a song, in my opinion, that anyone can listen to and really relate on one level or another. It doesn’t matter where you come from, what walk of life you’ve come from, everyone can relate to this song. Not that you can’t in almost every song of his, but people from all walks of life can listen to this and reflect on their own lives.

Wish I could like this a thousand times!! I honestly think this is your best song yet. Seventeen years ago, I sat in the ICU with my baby brother after the doctor told me he wasn't going to pull through this time. It was the 3rd time he had overdosed. I sat in that room for 3 days with him, praying for a miracle. God answered those prayers. He turned his life around completely. Next year, he'll watch his oldest daughter graduate from high school with honors. He'll be there to drop her off at college. She's a Daddy's girl, he is her hero and she will never know how incredibly close she came to losing him. This song will speak to so many people. You are an incredible artist and an inspiration, Tom. ❤️

A few of my tats cover some self harm scars from the depression but most of my scars are on my torso n only seen when I wear a 2 piece swimsuit or crop top. I bare them PROUDLY for they are the scars that prove I survived 15yrs of hell! Stay strong my friend. Prayers for a swift healing!

As someone that just got out of a really deep depression I thank you for making music that lets me know I am not alone. No matter what people say about you the only people that matter is HOG and your mental health. Stay strong and keep saying fuck the system!!!

I felt every word deep in my heart!! I have a lot of scars myself and should have been dead long ago, but God saw different for me. 10 years later I'm sober and was able to keep my career in the legal field...your music is an inspiration to me thanks for sharing your gift with us!!

This one hit me in the feels. I've been clean and sober now for 18 months. It's a miracle I'm alive! Now I spend my days helping others find recovery and faith. This is my true purpose but I had to go through hell to help other find their way out of the fire!

Bro this is one of the realist musicians I've ever heard. Tom motivates me in my recovery almost daily, 8 overdoses and living through Hell for 20 years in and out of Prison I got scars too. I really feel this song.

Thank y'all I've been sober for 2 years and 7 months I did try naltrexone in the beginning also but I don't like the idea of having to be medicated to be sober. Through my trials and sets backs I have learned self discipline and self control are my strengths not weaknesses it's awesome to receive support from you guys, "strangers" . Thank y'all so much.

I've never been an addict, but my brother is a recovering alcoholic & my step son's birth mother is a hard drug/alcohol user. Seeing what addiction does to the addict but also the family/friends is heart wrenching. This is an amazing song representing the hope on the other side of addiction 🙏 thank you ❤

I found him though The Quartering when Snowflakes came out and I'm the same as you. If you want more feels like this one, I suggest listening to: - Castles - Church - I Wish - Sober - Bad News And after listening to Church, you'll get hooked on Brandon Hart because you'll immediately want to hear his library right afterwards.

I've been in the HOG family for about a year. I love Tom's music and feel a part of something special. Now this song opened the depth under all my scars. Recognition of the scars we have (visible or within) helps to heal. That what didn't kill me, made me stronger...I felt pain from my scars within and memories of a long ago time when I didn't want to live and wear them on my wrists. Thank you, Tom, Nova and the HOG family. We need each other and we're a family because we are real and woke. I love this song. Much love 💘
