What a fantastic podcast. The best one so far. Tom is so honest, open, transparent and knowledgeable that you cannot possibly not learn something. A credit to our sport. I've not been following tom long so never heard the horrifying story he's talked about in this. Mental health is being talked about more and more in our sport and Tom's shown he's a fine ambassador for it with those comments. Another great podcast from Korda and another great watch from the big hit angler himself Tom Maker 👏

There's a little over 1.1g of isoleucine per 100g of worm, there's 10.08g of isoleucine in a mussel. Mussels are also a really really good bait for carp fishing. It's the natural amino acids they're after.

Go on Tom! He's so right about the hours/effort/practice you need to put in in order to become an expert/world class in any area. Carp fishing is no different. FWIW I've never met Tom, but I've fished with Andy (his dad) on a couple of occasions and I know how proud of his son he is, and rightly so. Ultimately in life, I think that's about all that matters - having a loving family around you, supporting them and making them proud. So keep doing what you're doing, Tom: being the best dad, employee and angler you can be. The rest is largely immaterial.

Hi Tom, I couldn't listen to this without commenting! Personally I dislike social media for the negative reasons, and you have to read your fair share of trolling which sucks, in my experience those that troll are usually unhappy for 1 reason or another in their own lives and have to take out there frustrations on other people, it's very sad! I've took a lot of advice and tips from watching you on youtube over the years and your one of the best anglers out there and I for one is so pleased you've got through the hard times and are genuinely happy and in a good place and you deserve to be working for korda. I'm one of those anglers who probably only does half a dozen 48 hr sessions a year but I still love it, I'm usually a shy person so don't go to these angling shows but hopefully I will one day and would love to say hi, and thanks 👍🏻 I have recently started using the fluro d rig in my own angling and can understand why you use it! So easy to tie and it works 🙂 I've been using it to great affect as a snowman rig too.
