When you say tiger nuts are the best baits for carp. I keep hearing mixed opinions about tiger nuts, yes they’re very good but I get told that they’re also very bad for carp? Is this true?

It's defiantly about doing your own thing. Adam says he won't bother with clunky snowmen. But that's all Steve Briggs uses as a bottom bait and you know how many fish over 50lbs he has cought. Its what works for you

This is brilliant, new to carp fishing here and I used mainline cell boilies, half crushed, half whole, mixed with smart liquid and smart fish and I catapulted it over a ronnie rig with a saturated boilie screwed on and had bites every half hour, great to learn about the garlic powder and can’t wait to try it!

@_ST4_4 жыл бұрын
My PB came on just 2 pieces of corn, on a hair rig, on the bottom, over a small hand full of casters and maggots, about 2 rod-lengths down the margin in a 9ft gully that connected the two ends of the lake. I didn't even have to cast it out, I just dropped it on the spot about a foot or two from the bank and walked it a couple of metres down to the alarms. Most people recommended fishing over a bed of the pellet they're fed on but going against the grain can often produce and it was fishing very hard. It's still the biggest common landed at that lake. I find casters and maggots usually prove irresistible to carp and I use them everywhere I go if I can and often as a hookbait as well. Simple, well executed tactics can often be foolproof. Brilliant content as always from a straight talking, down to earth bloke, invaluable information for beginners to seasoned anglers and anyone in between. It has been a pleasure to watch. Tight lines and best of luck to everyone 👍

Cheers Adam, first time I’ve come across your videos and it’s a real eye opener to me, it really doesn’t have to cost the earth for a good session, only trouble is that a lot of the lakes I fish don’t allow tigers and I dunno why?! I’ve been sat here watching and writing notes. All comes down to the preparation and willingness to try different things and ignore what others are doing and feeling confident. Really enjoyed your videos. Cheers!! By the way - I’d have to take at least two bottles of baileys as although the carp love it, so do I. Thanks 😊

Loving this video, this whole pop up/Ronnie bollocks that everyone seems to be doing has never really done as well for me, bottom baits blended into loose feed has always worked better personally. A bright pop up hovering above the deck is surely way too obvious and will spook most carp swimming over it

Adam, wHat an awesome video, thanks for putting it out. I’m of the same generation as you, started carp fishing in the late 80’s, (ok so a bit older) I’ve come back to it over the last year after a 20 year period I fish small qtys of bait in high pressure waters but some of these ideas and thought processes have got me thinking how to catch even more and go against the tide. I love krill, krill powder and tigers, just started using them so this is brill.

been using boilie crumb as stick mix and or ground bait for bloody years and get laughed at by the other anglers at my local, but who laughs last when i have the big hits and they dont!! they all go with the ' trend' and go away with an average catch rate ( for the lake) , penning u should be labled a LEGEND m8 , all this new stuff might catch you a few fish but as you say if they all use it ............................. back to basics , good on ya, been loveing your vid's since you left that green title based tackle company , i cant say the word without spitting lol
