Part 11: • Tom Mesereau on Macaul...
Part 1: • Tom Mesereau on Defend...
--------
In this clip, Tom Mesereau spoke about Michael Jackson accuser Wade Robson taking the stand in Michael's 2005 criminal case to defend him, along with his mother and sister. Tom explained that he felt Wade and his family members were strong witnesses, as he explained that they were adamant that Michael never harmed Wade. Tom went on to speak about Michael being acquitted on all 14 charges, and he added that people in Michael's circle were telling him ahead of the verdict that he was going to lose. To hear more, including how he thought the prosecution in the case were a "travesty of justice," hit the above clip.

Michael Jackson was _too_ trusting of people and he let a lot of people get in his ear and head. The man was as powerful as the government at one point. I'm a MJ fan for life and I'm never watching _Leaving Neverland_ ever. Sketchy shit.

My Mom hated for anyone to go down her hallway unless you had to use the bathroom. (Pertaining to company) We were not allowed to have sleepovers or pajama parties. I wonder why MJ was so free spirited to have children in his bedroom. I asked my Dad, who worked at our local steel foundry if he would take me to see the star. He replied "He didn't have the money." Susan Yu who was Tom's partner in this case broke into tears when the not guilty verdicts were read out. No lawyer would do that unless they truly believed in MJ's innocence. Susan has said about Michael that he was such a decent and good human being. She would talk to him on the phone every day for hours during the trial. She got to know him well. There is only one victim in all of this and that is Michael Jackson.

Sadly he was crucified by the media. Just hearing the details of the case makes me realise how evil some humans can be. To convey the narrative of Michael, in the way that they did is beyond evil. I remember being in the car with my pops. It was a 2004 aurora. We were driving through Gary Indiana, where Michael Jackson is from and where we lived. They gave his verdict in the afternoon, it was sunny out. I was probably 12 or 13. I remember when the verdict came through over the car radio. We were sitting at a 4 way intersection. I bullshit you not on my life, not a car moved while the verdict was being read! Green light or red, nobody budged! The moment he was found not guilty, everyone cheered in Gary Indiana cheered!!!! He was a victim of society s perception and scepticism and cynism that a adult black man can't be interacting with children with nothing but innocent ,harmless pure intention. And also because he was a black man that was super famous and influential.Iutside US all support him but his own country.A lot if hate because a lot of racism. If he were white this wouldn't happen.
