Waiting for mine to arrive from Reverb. So many 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's sounds in this pedal, it's a must have for my taste! From Nugent to Joe Walsh to AC/DC to Focus to DEVO to Tom Morello and more!

I've had mine for a month now, really love it. I built a travel board that has this as well as the Morello wah and a Whammy, and it does rock and all the 90's and 2000's heavy stuff as well. Bonus points for getting a total bargain when I bought it too.

I usually find amp-in-a-box pedals pretty underwhelming, but this won me over when I watched the MXR/Morello official video you mentioned. The effects loop really adds a lot. And it's always nice to see a signature product that actually seems to excite the artist, and isn't just something they slapped their name on for a royalty check...

The official video is great…really well done video!! I liked the pedal…and I like the fx loop..,just opens up a different world of sounds

I don't really care for any of Tom Morello's projects musically myself, but I find it really fun and inspiring to watch that guy talk about gear. He crafted an original and unique sound of his own that has been hugely influential, he did it on relatively meager means, and that setup has basically served him throughout his career despite him now being able to buy any superexpensive boutique or vintage gear he'd like.

For a pedal called “Power 50” I have to say I was expecting more power from the distortion, but without a doubt the party piece is that effects loop as plugging in the rest of the pedal board was really wild. Nice.

Yeah it’s not super high gain but I think it has a great tone…I think it might be interesting trying to push it with a boost or TS style overdrive pedal like an actual JCM800 I really liked the way it sounded with the Jazzmaster…that wide range pickup worked really well with it in my opinion…and the effects loop gives you a whole bunch of extra options…I like it!!

The thing is, Tom never plays too heavily distorted and as far as I know he usually uses the neck pickup, at least on the Tele. I ordered one today and can't wait to put it in front of my Fender Hotrod. It has an amazing clean sound but this pedal will make it scream. At least I hope so.

Yeah he’s neck pickup all the way…let us know how it works out!!

I got the pedal now and had the chance to put it in front of my practice amp, a laney cub super 12, which I set up clean. Kicks total ass! With a Strat in neck-position you can get everything from classic Clapton tones to Tom Morello. With a Les Paul you really get those Marshall-Vibes. I LOVE it! Can't wait to test it with the Fender Hotrod.

And now another update: it pushes the HotRod just the way I wanted it to. Grungy/alternative sound with a Strat, classic rock with a LP. And if you push it with a Tubescreamer you're booking a trip to Hairspray-Ville. Amazing pedal!

Funny thing is even his Strat uses a single coil pickup in the neck which is hidden underneath the black Humbucker style pickup cover. ;)

I think it sounded best with the JM & Gabor channelling his inner Morello. Otherwise, it seemed rather mellow in terms of gain available & seems mostly about the fx loop, which was interesting. Guess I'll have to go look what actually this so called fx loop really is & how it can be used with some pedals in this loop and others not. Thanks fellas, I'd not heard of this pedal until just now. 😎👍

Did not know he place the Wha and Whammy in the effects loop…… crazy.

Yeah he puts his entire pedalboard through the fx loop…that’s how he gets that super aggressive wah sound! I’ve been a huge fan of his since the 90s…killer player and tones!!!
