RIP TOM PETTY! This is one of my fave Petty songs too. You died too young. You were pure rock and roll. 1950 - 2017.
@jamesbowen89603 жыл бұрын
Agree with you for sure. But he could also sing country music and sound more country than most of these so-called country singers today.

Funny how one of Tom Petty's ALL-TIME best ''story-telling'' songs (like this one; an all-time fav of mine) has ONLY 28K views. I don't get it! But then again, I really don't care, because ''I don't understand the world today...'' As long as Tom's music is at my finger tips...''thank you'', You tube, and all those who upload all the real, ''great music''.

Shout out to Greg Ines below. I wanted to point out for people who don't really listen to music with their whole being, ' Tom Petty is a Dylan knock-off' or something fantastically ignorant. I was listening to this 2010 release of a live performance of a very early song and the Proustian 'Petite phrase' on the keyboard intro makes you want to want to … yearn, to cry and when the rock and roll explodes it returns to this moment later… that wasn't there in the original recordings. Take nothing for granted and let silly people have their say, just ignore them. Tom is still here in all of us.
