50 years from now when all new generational youth say..."Who is Tom Petty..." Someone cool can slow down the moment, and with a relaxing chill smile, say "this is..., and this is also "music..."" Performed by a "group" that each love what they are doing, who they are doing it with, and most of all, who and why they are doing it for! And that's the real meaning of "Rock and Roll!" performed by by a "Rock Group!"

I knew this full version had to be on KZbin somewhere! Thank you so much for uploading it is so greatly appreciated. This is easily one of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers greatest songs and in particular versions of it. This is really the boys at their very best and it has to be appreciated as pure 100% classic rock music at its greatest folks. It just doesn't get any better than this. To be able to produce such an iconic Tom Petty ANTHEM takes more than nicotine and caffeine folks. Nowhatimean?

Question is; how were those imaginations fuelled...and it wasn't simply just nicotine and caffeine me thinks...

It has not (yet) been (officially) released on DVD. If you poke around on-line you might find a DVD-R copy, but I wouldn't want to encourage you to participate in anything questionable. Most of it seems to be available on KZbin.

I love this sing...Dave Stewart is a terrific guitarist, songwriter and collaborator. He recent worked with Stevie Nicks on her album IN YOUR DREAMS. Stevie Nicks is the 5th HEARTBREAKER. Thinking out loud that a a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers/Eurythmics/Stevie Nicks combo would make for a terrific STADIUM TOUR. Stevie's lead guitarist, Waddy Wachtel, would "gell" right in there...
