I guess no one noticed how he carried himself in this concert; he clearly wasn't well. Tom appears out of breath, he staggers almost as if he were impaired and he seems totally exhausted. He was probably feeling like shit for a long time, but felt compelled to carry on and finish his tour. Sad to see you go, Tom, but your music is the great legacy you leave us with. RIP.

All of these artists who die early give their life to perform for us. Many people don't respect the amount of hard work and effort it takes to tour constantly especially for 40 years. All the wear and tear adds up. Greedy concert promoters and mangers need to start toning down the amount of tour dates for artists in their 50/60's, it will benefit the artist and the fans because they will be well rested for the shows. It brings tears to my eyes to see him limp away that like but I'm thankful for all the great music and memories he has given us. Rest in peace Tom!

I'm not really into the traditional rock and roll, but I'm a huge fan of punk rock and heavy metal. While traditional rock may be dying, metal's secretly rising. Punk's merely kicked into a corner and lying dormant (ok, well there are still bands like the Dropkick Murphys and Street Dogs providing life support and possibly even a massive revival; however, Green Day was the band that brought punk to a huge stage).

Fantastic Mr. V... I saw Tom about nine times in concert and considered seeing him on this tour but after seeing the set list, decided against it, seeing as I'd heard him play 80% of the songs one or more times. But now I'm sorta kicking myself. Did you see him at the Hollywood Bowl? I live near L.A. and have seen Tom there three times. GREAT venue. Good for you that you got to see him. I saw Bowie on his last two tours and am thanking my lucky stars I did. For me, losing David was even worse than losing Tom and I shed tears over David some 200+ times over the course of some 18 months. I've shed tears today but I'm still in shock. More tears are on their way....

TVC15ohoh Wow, David Bowie must have put on a great show! How lucky! No I didn't see Tom there, but yes it does look like a great crowd! I live in Canada, so I went to Vancouver. I even sprung for front row this time, and I'm really happy I did. I still can't believe that this is happening, it's awful. :(
@TVC15ohoh7 жыл бұрын
Fantastic Mr. Vulpes I LOVE Vancouver. I vacationed there in 2006 for about a week and HATED to leave. I was so depressed. Canadians are wonderful people. Yeah, I was having a terrible bout of anxiety this morning, something I typically never have, but I felt like today was the day when some sort of awful news was going to come down the pike. Then I heard about the shootings in Vegas and thought, "Ah! That must be it." But I still had tension in my shoulders and abdomen. Then I got word about Tom and instantly the anxiety went away, only to be replaced with welled eyes and a broken heart. This is truly one of the worst Mondays EVER. A terrible, horrible day.
