Was happy to get photos with all the fans that hung around back stage waiting for him, talked to us for a good half hour, and was very engaging. Didn't rush off, ZERO arrogance, just a great bloke. I would argue that Bert just is what he is. He's a force of nature. Bert is what Bukowski meant when he said "don't try." He's driven by an internal motor, so even when he's working hard as shit it's effortless for him. He's one of the greatest characters of our culture, imo.

The guy's an alcoholic that revels over frat parties with younger men and always has to be the center of attention. Meanwhile he cracks jokes way too often about his wife being a stiff, his daughters joke about his alcoholism but definitely want him to be a father instead, they joke about his weight but somehow it doesn't inspire him to lose it whereas being on juice does, list goes on. It's not hard to see where the issues are. If I were a millionaire, I'd be with my kids 24/7, not fuckin' making origin story movies about myself over fabricated shite at 50 years old like I'm trying to create a permanent legacy. His legacy should be his beautiful and wonderful kids.
