I love this - thank you to Karl Blau who led me to Tom T Hall ❤️

I met him once outside his tour bus. He was all alone, sitting in a folding chair to sign autographs. No one realized it was him but me; they thought he was the driver, I guess. That's Tom, humble and a nice man. We talked, and later on stage, he smiled at my camera and me.

A terrific performance of a great song, one of my favorite (for 50 years!) Tom T songs of all time. Thank you for posting this fantastic video. Great audio!

Had the pleasure of playing drums many times on sessions with him ,an absolute brilliant man, he knew what the tune should be ,and conveyed it to us and a staggering a.ount of his recorded songs that were released were all completed in 1 shot ,thats just unheard of in the sessions world, sure made us feel good to produce such good sounding tracks that went on to be very large hits R.I.P. Mr Tom T Hall Youll never be forgotten

That’s something I never heard about Tom T hall. One take, that’s a demonstration of how well he knew what he wanted! Wish there was singers like him nowadays, probably is but won’t get air time on country radio.

One of my favorite of his. RIP Tom T Hall. I wish you wouldn't have retired you still had so much to offer Country. .but like many of the great ones from your era you were pushed aside by the industry and this feeble sound they call new country.
